Hello,

After almost 4 years in service my GTX 465 started having issues with nvlddmkm.sys. I would like to replace it with a newer card. What are equivalent replacement cards for it? Not looking for a fastest card just something similar. Would be great with less power consumption.

Thank you.

    Depends really..
I would say gtx 760 or maybe a 770.. but it all depends.. if you only play smaller games and stuff like that a gtx 750ti might be able to serve you well enough :)

I would say no more than $300, but better something closer to $200.

The games I play are Team Fortress 2, World Of Tanks, Starcraft 2, Anno 2070, Mafia 2, Batman... all ran fine on GTX 465.

Before I recommend anything I'd like to know your system specs to include PSU.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

I would say a 270x or a gtx 750ti. Should run just fine and you can get used 270x's on craigslist for around 170 now.

    My Laptop (GE63VR-7RF):
    -7700HQ.
    -16GB RAM.
    -GTX 1070.
    -128GB SSD.
    -1X 1TB 7200 spinny drive.

Check craigslist. Honestly that's what I do. I got a P8Z77-WS for 45$ and it's a 300$ board. Guy broke up with his girlfriend and she didn't know what it was worth LOL. Anyway my point is, the deals are out there, you just have to find them.

Mostof those games you mentioned are CPU-bound, especially Anno 2070 which I have, which better benefits a faster CPU.  So better graphics cards aren't going to do much and I don't understand why others have the compulsive need to push faster cards to you when you won't see benefit...

GTX750 Ti = GTX480 (both achieving 37fps on BF4 with settings to Ultra).  Therefore, since you have a slower version of the GF100 card, a GTX750 should match it exactly, and the card itself uses 55W (4.5 Amps at 12v).

For Intel processors, 0.122 x TDP = Continuous Amps at 12v [source].
