anyone getting any?
I've been stuck on core 15 P8018 workunits which are awful units.

They run hot and use much more power than core 17 units.  And they garner about 1/5 of the points of a core 17 workunit.

I haven't gotten core 17 for a few days, and only a few in the past 1.5 weeks. http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=2059679 Seems to be the latest thread about it. It is rather frustrating, but nothing to do but wait.

I hope they come back soon, otherwise it will be impossible for most people
to achieve 1.5 million in a month on Core 15 workunits.
Folding 24/7 on a 780 will only earn 1 million points in a month of folding.

The way the system is right now it didn't even matter if there was 50 different Core 17 projects on 50 different servers.  For the longest time if your server drops it tends to stay that way.  Some people get lucky and are rotated onto another one that's up (i.e. those getting P13000 units), but more often then not it just dumps everyone off and usually throws them on a Core 15 project.

No idea why it does this, but its been doing this for awhile.

That seems to be my experience over the past 2 weeks. I finally got a CORE 17 (13001) after consecutive 8018s.

I'm out for a while.  I'm not burning up my power bill running 8018s with no chance of getting 1.5million.

For the last 2 weeks, it's been nothing but 8018's, except for two back-to-back 9401 the other day when I switched from the "Beta" flag to the "Advanced" flag.  I haven't even seen the new 13001 WU yet.  Because the 8018's are cranky, I have to drop my OC for it to run stable.  If I keep this up and get nothing but 8018's, I'll be lucky to hit 700k for the month.

I did a test, 3 gpus same rig each with a different flag. No flag got 13001 advanced got 8018 beta got 8018. So i fired up my 2nd rig w/ 2 more of the same gpu and no flags, both got 13001. So yeah, they are messing with the flags to get the 8018 out there.

    No Flag?
So I guess this did not help.
I will give it a try on my GTX 680 Rig, I installed my new water pump today.

I did just add 9 more GPUGRIDS so for my other rigs I will have to wait to test.

Apparently Linux and AMD GPU's are pretty much exempt from the situation Nvidia GPU's are in on Windows.  We get not just the tip, but the entire shaft deep inside us.  But hey, we should all just shut up and smile because IT'S FOR SCIENCE.

I have not had any of the 9401 WU's in a while.  More than enough 8018's, but I did get a single 13001 WU, but nothing since.  That 13k1 WU was given to me when I launched the Web Control to start folding, and it didn't pick up any tags for my setup.

I may try it again, lol.

Without beta/advanced flag I haven't gotten any core 17s, but I am getting a steady diet of non-8018 core 15s, mostly 762x with a couple of 7660 in there.

I had the same problem because of the wonky BigADV servers. If you reset your rig and let the work unit finish, you should start picking up the BigADV units again.

On GPU's, I am in the same boat as everyone else. 8018's all day and all week.

I had to dump all txt log and dat files on my 2nd bigadv folder. that's both rigs that have locked out in a week after 4months of non-stop folding without issue.

Well apparently the 9401 hard disks crashed completely.

I'm guessing the 8900 project finished or something because that's been gone for about a month with no warning.  Still no reason as to why P13000 (or other Core 17 units if there were any) don't rotate in.  Wouldn't mind them so much if there was some rotation occurring instead of this: lock on one project server, it goes down, too bad.

I still find that a single hard drive can cause this issue on a Blade in a Blade Chassis or on a VM Server within on a Blade.
Having a single point failure on a server that is providing any service should at least be on a Raid 1 for the OS and Raid 5 for data.
Yes if one drive fails the system is NOT down but would be best to replace the bad drive now and not wait the other one to fail, is that what happen?
    Only my 2 Cents

nothing but a steady, miserable diet of 8018s every time I try.
I've tried different setting to no avail.  shutting off and will try again next week.

    You and me both brother.
I wanted to complete the 2nd tier before the TZC but that's looking difficult.

Don't feel to bad it also looks like BA are out as well Today stuck on A3 P8596.

I had the same problem because of the wonky BigADV servers. If you reset your rig and let the work unit finish, you should start picking up the BigADV units again.

On GPU's, I am in the same boat as everyone else. 8018's all day and all week.

They did have an issue, I got a P8101 not the best A5 or BA but back on BA now. But also I am not Folding GPU ATM.
    Thanks sajinor
