As the title states: What nVidia single card solution would exactly match (or come close to power/performance) when benchmarked against two EVGA GTX 580s Superclocked in SLI?

Im not sure about it exactly matching, but one reference gtx780 is probably very close to two 580's in sli, although the 780 is way better on power, of course.

No 580 = 670 = 760 A good replacement would be a 690, or 780/780ti

he has 2 580's that from the benchmarks I seen is equal to a 680..a Single 580 would equal a 670.. Heck most times a 670 equals a 680 with a little overclock in most cases..

no a 580 is between a GTX 660 and a GTX 660 Ti depends on the title and if its shader, texture or memory bandwidth starved.

Yes Everybody knows that but if you read the OP he states he has "TWO" 580's NOT a Single 580.. 2 580's is equivalent to a 680.. Please read the OP I know a SINGLE 580 Equals a 660.. Heck a Single 580 according to the guide the above poster put it is near equivalent..

Not really. Two 580s kick 680 ass any time. So a viable update would be a 780 but imho it's not really worth the price (coming from 2 580s)
Running on Core i7 950 @ 4.2 ghz 2x EVGA GTX 580 in SLI @ 920 / 2250 / 1.150v 24/7 on 335.23 whql

I don't believe in spoon-feeding, but you really have to try to do some research by looking up reviews of flagships that came after your purchase and daisy-chain then together to get an idea of how things have changed. Use the following as a template: - Some reviews of GTX680 show it trading blows with GTX590, therefore each CUDA core isn't the same if 1024 Fermi core at 1240MHz tends to match up with 1536 Kepler cores at 1006MHz; the architecture changed.
- Knowing this you can scale between the generations, but you need another example to calculate from. For instance, GTX590 is not even 30% faster than GTX580. Therefore, GTX680 isn't double GTX580, rather about 30-35% faster.
- We see the same scale jump between GTX780 and GTX680, therefore a single GTX780 is around 60% faster than GTX580, which falls in line with SLI scaling-- but it isn't double the performance of a GTX580, the Titans and possibly GTX780 Ti just might do it since they are faster than GTX780.
