This P2 is made by Superflower and atm it's performing even better than Seasonic and the most impressive thing about it is the semi-passive mode. The psu's fan kicks in around 600-700W for me. If I put a noctua fan close to the PSU, the PSU's fan doesnt even kick in at 800W load with a and 2x780's. I've RMA'ed my ax860i maybe 10 times and they all were coilwhining when the system was powered off and they have plenty of other issues as well that are design flaws (can list them). Platinum seasonics were whining as well so I gave the P2 a try and it didnt have any issues I've had with seasonics or corsair's noisy I series. The only downside about this psu are the cables, theyre really hard to bend near the plug

Man I hope so! I just walked in the office and my screen said (a power surge was detected your computer was shut down to protect your pc from damage). I looked in the case and the blue light in the PSU was kinda fluctuating and the fan was not running.I hope nothing else was fried. I also have been waiting for a long time for this PSU to return to stock. Now my main rig is down untill they are. But I can only wait a couple of days, my wife wont wait much longer than that to use crackbook and netflix lol, I may have to run to Fry's or bestbuy.

Unfortunately from my experience what I have found is that any stores, or more accurately websites that say they have them in stock, you will recieve either a open box, return, or refurbished product, not a new one. Or you will purchase the item and then recieve notification that they are currently out of stock and the item is on back order, not to mention they tell you two to three weeks and still nothing, then you fight with the website to get your money back (this happened to me twice).

I swapped my Seasonic X-1250 out and used my SuperNova G2 1300 and it has been great (doing it as I need all the PCIe cables). However, do note that the Seasonic also has the hybrid mode, meaning that the fan will not kick in until the load/temperature reaches a certain point. Both PSUs are as good as they get.

I am running close to the same.. See my Sig for my specs - but the G2 has been amazing for me, not a single issue and rock solid stable under heavy loads. I am sure the P2 is the same.

Alright guys, I have a question. I have tried looking up voltage calculators to guesstimate what my PSU is putting out and how much head room. So far I am getting a range of 750w~1200w. I am fairly sure those can't be right. What I am wondering is what my realistic usage it and if I have much headroom at all. My setup: I7-3770K @ 4.8Ghz 1.32 Vcore Asus Maximus Extreme V EVGA 780 Classified x 2 SLI @ G.Skill 2133Mhz 16Gb(4x4) @ 1.65v LG Blu-ray player. EK DDC 3.25 Water pump Corsair SP120 HP x 10 @ Corsair AF140 x 3 Samsung 830 128Gb SSD x 2 WD 500gb 7200RPM HDD NZXT Sentry 2 Fan controller EVGA SuperNova P2 1000w UV LED lighting strips that surround the case. I have access to another 780 classified but I am fairly sure that I would need a 1200~1500w PSU to support 3 way SLI with the 780 classifieds. I figured I am in the 800~900w peak area. Assuming the GPUs have a small overclock on them (Currently @ +79Clock + 350 Mem) How far off am I?
