you should not expect much from a guy who is 38 and lives at home with his mommy and has to ask mommy to pay for his car and pc upgrades....

Congrats and a word of caution...

Please... Please... Please... Flush all the fluids on this car by 20k miles. And every 20k miles. I am friends with a few shops... While Kia and their sister company Hyundai have made significant improvements the last ten years... The metals they use are a tad softer than most. And you can really get some wonderful miles out of these as long as you stay on top of the fluids... If they call for 12k mile oil changes.. Do them @ 6-8k...

Anyway... There is a reason they are less expensive than the competition. Also...

They are actually pretty darn safe vehicles.

One last thing. If anyone plans to buy one of these... Never leave the lot without buying GAP insurance. The value one these drops as fast as Jaguars do...

I just couldnt bring myself to buying any new car no mater how good of a deal it seems. I mean ive been looking at those landrover sport SUVs and I love what they are doing with it but I dont think I could ever buy one brand new even if I planned on keeping it for 20 years or life. Idk maybe thats just me, I see a vehicle as a mode of transportation and only spend several hours a week in one vs the life time I will spend in my house. Idk its all about resale i guess.

OK folks...

This thread is a shining example of what goes wrong with members who act outside the TOS and think it is OK.

I do not care if you like to debate, or challenge people, or like to get a rise out of folks. This is a forum built by folks who want to help others. It is not a blog or Twitter where you can all act like you have 85 years of experience and the rest of the world has no clue.

Three of you could be getting time off from the forums at this moment, one of you for no less than seven days because of your behavior.

Stay on topic or go somewhere else. Period. One other activity displayed in this thread is trolling.

I deleted close to 20 posts in order to clean it up. You know who you are. We only removed the posts from public view in order to keep the integrity of the posts. And so that if you continue to display this kind of behavior in any other thread in the future, you will not have a leg to stand on.

Thank you to those who follow the TOS and now back to the OP...

Not at this time, I just want to throw some W7's in there with about 6-8k watts so I can be shaking "pictures off the walls" heh.

The height is already pissing me off, tbh... compared to my mustang this thing is super low.. lol.

Woah, Guys... So this will probably make like 2 people happy and to be honest it's a huge weight off my shoulders.

I drove it for 2 weeks, racked 600 miles on it! I received a call late last night from the F&R guy, Mind you this is 2 weeks after... He says the banks didn't like the fact that I work for an agency so they're having a hard time approving the loan... This puzzled me since usually the loan is secured prior to making any deals. I told him to call me if anything pops up, But the day after (This morning) I checked my credit report and I had 12 new inquiries!!! All car loan companies. This is apart from the original Kia pulls (2) so they made a total of 14 hard credit pulls!

I went in ASAP (9AM) and after waiting and telling them to go have fun with themselves, I returned the car free of charge, They actually refunded me the $205 I had paid for insurance.

The funny thing is, Since lots of people hate me at work (It's because of my position to deny them stuff they might need) someone scratched the car lol. I also abused the hell out of it before it hit the 500 mile break in point, I was abusing the turbo like there was no tomorrow... I'm glad that's behind me. Didn't have to suffer with the $700 payment.

Right after I left the lot, I test drove a Dodge Challenger and a Chevrolet Camaro at 2 seperate dealers (Both in Los Angeles) one if the main Dodge dealership and the other is Felix which deals with only chevy's. The camaro is way too small, So I declined that and went back to the dodge dealership, I was approved for another lease to buy, But this time they said $435 for 3 years, Still sounded high so I declined and happily went back home in the 2012 Nissan Frontier.

My friend however did purchase a 2014 Dodge Avenger, Super nice car!! It's his first purchase, He's 19 and was approved directly through Chrysler financial!

Honestly, I'm going to miss the turbo, But I won't miss the pressure I felt knowing I'd have to throw $700 monthly on just a car note on something I would've returned anyways. I'm going to keep driving the truck until I'm 100% debt free and then I'll buy my Challenger R/T with ease.

Nice ride. 700$ per month though on a lease is a bit much.

Rush,
call up the 3 credit bureaus and tell them about the credit pulls and explain what you were doing. They should remove them for you.

Things always have a way of working out.  Interesting story.  14 credit inquiries.  Call the bureaus and get them to delete the ones where you did not get the loan.  That should have never been done.

I believe in running a car for a few years past the financing terms.  There has to be a period of time for you to acquire funds for the next car.  I just finished paying both of mine off and I will be totally debt free very soon.  Glad it all worked out, but what a strange path.

Dealership I bought my truck from did the same thing.  They run your information through all their bank sources trying to see who gets you and them the best terms and interest rate.  Some will approve you, others will deny.  Not really all that unusual or unexpected.

14 credit pulls is absurd. Yes, They have to pull many of them, But 14 is way too many.. Not a number you expect your credit to be ran. My dad has taken out many cars, They've never ran his credit so many times... This is the problem with them running it behind your back after they claim to have "approved" you. I didn't know that they BS'd me on that.

Basically, that is saying they really were trying to get you in that car. Your credit may not be as good as you suspected that they had to go through 14 different lenders to try to get approval. You may get a copy of your credit report and see whee you are at. Also, go do creditkarma. I use it and is pretty darn accurate.

In my experience creditkarma is only useful for keeping track of inquiries, debts, etc. not score. My score was like 620 on CK (FAKO) and its been there for a while, But as soon as the inquiries popped up, (Totals 22 atm, not all have loaded on it) it went up to 660? LOL.

I bought my real fico scores on MyFico and also get free scores (I believe TU?) through Discover each statement.

They all ranged high 600's low 700's at the time. The lowest out of all 3 scores was 688.

EQ - 688 (10/9/13) | TU - 693 (12/26/13) | EX - 701 (10/9/13)

The last time I asked for CLI's or new credit lines was in August 2013, So the score was a bit higher earlier this month, before this whole mess, But I'm a first time buyer. My first car, My dad paid it off in full for me and I just paid him, So that didn't count on my credit... First time buyers usually only qualify for certain price ranges.

You will see all those scores drop 15-40 points for the next 60-90 days unless you call and get them removed... Bottom line... They batch all those pulls into one... The "Potential" new loan might hit your credit... Any pull takes 12-15 points. Each new account takes 15-30 points before it adds to your scores. It depends on the all the other variable on individual records...

I'll call them on Tuesday morning, However my concern is that they were done on 2 separate days and some are coded as business loans, personal loans and car loans. They're not all the same.

That is a problem. However, by contacting them you have a very good chance at making them at worse, count as one hit if it does not happen on it's own as the system is designed to do...

Now that sounds like a good idea Rush. By the way your friend has a very nice car for being a 19 year old. I just hope he did not screw himself over the deal. You know them dealers, they like to take advantage of them younglings lol. Also you are right the Camaro is a small car. I cant even see out the back window either. The Challenger in the other hand is REALLY room for a sports car. The seats are like lazy boy chairs and that is a plus for me since I drive like a lazy person all slouched down. You can literately sleep in the Challenger very comfortable.

I hope you didnt actually call the challenger a sports car lol..its a land barge.

well now is the time to rethink what you need. Maybe look around and get a used older car maybe 5-6 years old. Or even go all out and get a cheap beater so you only need to pay liability insurance. Skip the creditors all together.
