GunslingerOCS I wonder what the quantity limit will be...
Don't say that. 850$ is acceptable price. That's exactly how I count to prepare as some MAX price. I predicted something similar. It's not nice price but card worth so much to be honest. I have two way to order... To wait Boostlogic PC to order or to pay more for guys who can import from USA market in Netherlands or Germany and than in Serbia.

Let's count as in years before, because this year Classified is cheaper because voltage restriction. Some 100-120$ over reference model would be real price... Maybe they will leave little more than that because Kingpin Edition and some unusual features to date. Example if I buy ASUS reference GTX780Ti I would pay 710e or 700 or 720, in Serbia. I can play only on little clock because card will drop clock on higher temps, for cooler I need to pay Accelero Xtreme III compatibile with GTX780Ti, he cost 105e...No warranty I need to install heatsinks on memory too, reference PCB stay, 1175V max I think or 1.200V. I would rather pay 50e more and all around me can call me crazy I don't care, that's my reason and I don't care for else.

Is the Kingpin Classified going to be compatible with waterblocks that work with the regular 780ti Classified ? Anyone know ? I plan to pick up two, but I'll wait if there are no waterblocks available for the Kingpin card yet.

Hmm.. so tempting, to splurge or not to splurge, and if so, how much? I'm floating all the way between a single normal GTX 780 ti and two K|NGP|Ns... need help >.< Also, no plans for a kingpin ultra or anything right? (at least let me have the top dog card for say... a month? that's reasonable level of self-entitlement right? :P )

First batch will be sold normally like classifieds when they launch. After that the build to order stuff starts.

I wonder how the build to order stuff will work, it seems like it implies you have to order/reserve a card first, then wait for it to be built. I also wonder what the threshold is for them to make a run of them, if their has to be 10/20/50/100/200/500 reserved before a run is made, that is assuming they aren't hand built one at a time. (something I'd expect would add a huge addition to the price.)

They keep kingpin in a dungeon to stress test each card before it is actually approved to the specified clocks. Every so often they open the roof and toss a phone in hooked to a chain. A piece of paper is dropped telling him what to tweet and then the phone is ripped back. And it's back to work to meet the 'build to order' quota.

I won't be getting one unless they are available from etailers. Specifically tigerdirect. Will these cards ever be available outside of EVGA.com?

If there is enough of a consumer base I'm sure etailers wouldn't mind having them on their site for sale.

I'm guessing it won't be a "midnight release" most likely in the morning after everyone at the office gets settled in, so about... 12 hours from now (time of this post that is) given that they are in Californa

notification e-mails never go out until after it's sold out, or so it seems, ideally I'd like a "day before" notification, saying something like "check back at 12:00 PM PST to pre-order such-and-such" so people at least have a time-frame to F5, rather that camping the site for 12+ hours. One thing the kingpin card will need to do is show that it's worth the high premium over the reference cost, after all, other manufacture's aftermarket cards don't have a price premium as high as the normal classified, let alone the kingpin, it's price point is something it'll have to prove if it wants to sell to more than just the hardcore EVGA fans.
