Related to this, I'd like to request that someone make a classified kingpin wallpaper, to go with my classified kingpin card and precision skin :)

Hmmm!!  I created the KP precision Skin and once I get time, I can probably create a wallpaper.  Any specific size request?  Also, what are you wanting to look like?

BTW, my K|ngp|n card is already on the way.  Should have in on Tuesday.

2560x1600 is my rez, and I'd like a picture of the card on it, beyond that I'll leave it up to you as to what you believe would look good :) though if you want some suggestions, I'd like either a dark background, or maybe a silver, or any color that fits with the card really like a red, (but no hot neon orange for example, heh)

also, my order is pending approval, how long does that generally take? I sprung for next day air saver, so I'm hoping nothing holds it up.

Re: EVGA GTX 780 Ti Classified K|NGP|N Edition 2014/01/23 13:29:28 (permalink)
First post on the forums here!

I currently have a 780 Ti Classified but I love to have the latest and greatest, which makes this an expensive hobby unfortunately, but totally worth it to me!

I am considering selling my 780 Ti for a K|NGP|N edition. I paid $819+ tax here in Canada for my 780 Ti Classified and I have a buyer willing to pay $800 for it. I think I should go for it, I am pretty much only out the tax and shipping which isn't too bad.

When ordering from Canada from EVGA will I get dinged badly for customs? The shipping is already $50 or so!

I love that the K|NGP|N edition has a backplate and I really like how it looks. I am not too worried about having 3GB of VRAM considering I don't mod my games currently and will be getting a 1080p G-Sync monitor when they are available. I was thinking about getting the ASUS ROG Swift which is 1440p but it is going to be $799 and will be more in Canada. I think I would rather get a 1TB SSD and 1080p monitor over a $800 monitor, but that's another topic.

My wallet hurts.

You did something I wouldn't.   I love pets,  but they aren't allowed near the computer stuff, lol..  It makes the card look more intimidating with a guard dog though.

I want a kingpin, but I will stick with my classifieds this time.  Maybe the next kingpin will be in my budget.

Impressive for a stock run, did you try out Firestrike and/or overclock further?

So far I am impressed with this card! Did a run on valley 1.0 stock bios on normal mode @1359mhz voltage at 1.212. It throttled some what due to hitting the power % limit of 110%. Card is definitely a keeper!

Man that cooler is definitely doing a great job! Your Valley score is getting hit by the card throttling, I would imagine it would be in the high 80s at least at that core clock.

Big time! You can feel the amount of air coming out of the sides of the card. Don't get me wrong i still love the regular classified but the kingpin edition SP(static pressure) fans kick the pants off of the HF(highflow) fans. Most people will be taking of the cooler off anyways but just a plus if you're on air.

Are you up for flashing skyn3t's bios and trying out higher volts/power limits? I imagine you can go much higher on air before your temps get too bad.

yeah, all i did was bin each gpu offset by 13. I add plus 1 just because lol. Each gpu is different tho, based on your ASIC% will give the better stock boost. On my valley run I offset my gpu to 157 plus
and bumped up the voltage to  75mv thats about it. Oh and maxed out power and temp target to 110% and 95.

Not yet. I believe skyn3t's bios(modded) are more for people on water. I haven't done much research on water cooling but i do plan to get into it in the future. As of right now I'm okay on air and stock bios where this ACX cooler does a great job in cooling the gpu.

Not necessarily, that bios is mostly for people with good cooling. You also control exactly how much you overclock the card so you can freely explore the limits of that air cooler. I would recommend it if only for the higher power limit.

If you can keep your temps ~85 C or less, that's good enough for benching on air.

Did you try out the dip switches on the back? There are 4 in total, and 2 of them give you +25 mV each without any software needed.

Ya I'm trying to sell my 2 TI classes locally and am having no luck out here in the bay area. I don't have enough rep yet on OCN to sell there, and I wish I had enough posts on here to sell, but I'm not going to Spam most just to get there.

I am going to sell my 780 Ti Classified and get one of these. I paid $819 plus tax here in Canada for it and have someone local buying it. I am selling it for $800. I am only out the shipping which was minimal and the tax so not bad. I just need a G-Sync monitor now!
