Apparently, it is a bios issue after all. Not sure why EVGA is not testing their bios before selling the card. Hopefully, they release an updated bios of their own that solves this issue.

Apparently, it has already happened "unofficially" by virtue of the new classy tool. Check out the evga classified thread on overclock.net, or ask Vince here as it seems to be coming from him

I did a little testing and so far so good. I dont know what this bios did but my card can now boost at a higher speed with stock volts.

before my classy was stable @ 1202 boost with 1.212mv
now my classy so far is @ 1241 boost with no voltage increase at 1.187mv passed 5 loops of heaven 4.0.

the bios is doing something. I did notice my power % stays @ around 50-53% .

Has anyone tried updating multiple cards with the official EVGA BIOS? Can this be done with them all installed at once?

It will flash card #1 first, then it will flash card #2. No problem. Just run it.
