I was planning to go with three 780 TI Classifieds... hopefully this new K|ngP|n card will have 6GB and also be released in Dec. My Dell 4K needs more powah!

I will not buy too for some crazy price.
Anyway I would pay and more for first upgrade now from GTX580. But this would be second high end for 3 months.
I decide to miss Titan from other manufacturer in August almost for same price as EVGA Classified, 70e more, because I love EVGA and I want their PCB
not same card with different sticker. I decide to try how much can OC compared with others, but nothing, bad memory stop me.
It's not my fault.
Because of that I don't want now some reference models and step-up. I'm not such guy to take new no matter what is.
If I waited custom PCB no way no to go on reference even with step-up. If I can't sell mine than I don't know, I will see...but step-up no way.

"Only if the 800 series is 28nm. We won't be seeing new cards from either camp on 20nm until next summer at the earliest. Apple and Qualcom have bought up all the 20nm manufacturing at TSCM for quite awhile and they have much deeper pockets and easier chips to produce than NVIDIA/AMD do. 20nm won't be mature enough for high end chips for quite awhile anyway so we're going to see a roll out like this last time with the 680 being the flagship. I wouldn't expect huge gains over large die 28nm cards anytime soon.

I think same, I vote after summer, September-October... But nobody can say exactly.
And everybody who want some special not only newest reference model is madness to wait Maxwell before some custom card from EVGA. What can bring 1/4 part locked first Maxwell chip in reference design, maybe even 5-10$ better performance than Classified Ti only for little cheaper price, for 600-650$.

Another update.

Any chance we could get a comment on if this is true?

http://videocardz.com/48216/evga-launch-geforce-gtx-780-ti-kingpin-edition-6gb-ram

What is so special about it? 6GB RAM, no TDP limit and unlocked voltage. That’s why it’s refereed as a ‘new card’. At this point I don’t know if KPE is EVGA’s exclusive or is it actually a new model card from NVIDIA itself....
Nevertheless, it’s good to see NVIDIA finally allowing AIBs to launch new models without pointless restrictions.

EVGA GTX 780 TI KingPin Edition will be released in December.

Nice, If this is true that mean they listen wishes of people.
We talk here about 6GB Video Memory, and now they will launch.
No doubt at all what card will be better this or ASUS GTX780Ti DirectCU II.
Only all of us could enjoy in that like we deserve on summer 2013.
Like this I miss one real excellent card GTX580 Classified Ultra and this successor in Kepler variant GTX780 Ti Classified 6GB.

ISUS! I will die because that card. How that happen. How???
I wish that card badly...I can imagine approximately how that can look. Auuu Auuuu...
God why you didn't give mi sign, one little sign at the beginning of September...
Few people I talk with accused and blame ASUS for copy EVGA ACX in Mars 760...Maybe that is exactly reason why I like that card.
Not as 780 Classified but better than DirectCU models.
Shop where I bought Dominator Platinum is open before less than month and that hold guy who bring me and sell me EVGA GTX580 they will work with EVGA cards and I talk with him maybe about import of Classified Ti if I found enough money. But such expensive cards are very rear for Serbia, I will had trouble to sell mine, bih trouble and I need at least 300e more but that's not important. Important is possession of custom unlocked GK110Ti.
I'm not sorry for such price and buy again only everything to finish best.
She is light with dark fan blades, and silver area on 780 is now carbon, maybe with some different details on back... Huh....

I like your title. You're not making your own conclusion to the point of getting defensive when criticized.  There are several in here that don't know 'rumor etiquette'.  True speculation requires some objectivity where you'd entertain more ideas than just what you strongly believe in; because nothing is official, there is no sense in taking a side and standing by it, which is just gambling. I just like that your title factors in every possibility in a simple sentence.

Before anyone suggests I also stand by interpretations, I look to more than just rumors and consider marketing trends and company tendencies, i.e. the business aspect and perspective.  Some enthusiasts don't bother with all that, they insist on consumer-centric thinking (as if it is all about us) while depending on rumors (and each others opinions) for all their forecasting.

For instance, JacobF did mention in that other long thread that a 6GB GTX780 Ti is not being planned (though he could have lied to protect continued sales of 3GB models, he has the right as an employee to protect interests). But that doesn't mean one can't be rebranded as "Titan" and inherit the price of the original Titan.  Since K|ngp|n has been associated with EVGA more than nVidia lately, then the chances that this product is an nVidian SKU is short; meaning other vendors won't make one = EVGA has monopoly on price.

For anyone to take offense at this possibility forget that EVGA is still a business and puts their bottom line first-- which is against the status quo to imagine a circumstance we don't want happening even if it is more likely given historical trends.

Seeing how the hints given were so vague and could mean anything, people choose to settle on best case scenario ideas based on hope and hype alone; EVGA just isn't responsible for all that.  Unfortunately, these spoiled brats will blame EVGA for not getting what they thought when there is absolutely no indication in those pictures.

I'm not sure where you're coming from, but look at my posts I've always have and always will stand behind EVGA. I've never blamed them for a single thing, just commenting on a post, if it so happens to be a backplate(speculation only) then so be it. I'm sure its not, no sales to be made there, maybe I should've said possibility instead. Whatever it turns out to be I'm sure its going to be kickass coming from EVGA. As I mentioned above I'll probably be upgrading my 680 4gb if this comes to light as a 6gb card.

Seeing is believing to me they are just pictures to keep the dog and pony show running  It's not the first time we all have seen such things as such rumor based things go, feel free to speculate, there is no need to be disappointed about something that does not exist yet
Anyhow, I always prefer to wait for the real deal, as anyone can make and edit any of such a picture

There is very high probability that there will be a classified GTX 780Ti. Kingpin, we are not sure of yet since it isnt on the EVGA articles for GTX780Ti. Now the Titan Ultra (black edition) is the big question - if EVGA releases a Kingpin card then the Titan Ultra will not be a reasonable card for release, unless they don't go 8gb or 12gb vram which is veeery low chance! Evga has been pushing Nvidia for letting them do 6gb card of Ti 780 so that they release the cards they've planned (Linus was saying all that) for their customer's wants. What happened is just a rumor, we may see, we may not a 6gb Kingpin card. However if we do, the price will be around 1000$ cuz of the 6gb and no power, voltage limit. "EVGA wanted to push project GREENLIGHT" as Linus said it.

Well i still can wait around 20 more days and hopefully somebody will be changing the history of gpus here!

Klngpln just sounds helluva lot better IMO, so I hope this comes to light. Either way it seems to me that at least a 6gb card is coming.

Ive waited 3 generations so far for a better gpu, one more wont matter.

Claims of no power limits, and KPin "OMG !!!" propaganda wont sway me at the current price levels many have come to accept .

Ill wait for 8xx and i9 or newer gen hardware at a reasonable price.

I'm just wanting someone to release a 1600p @ 120hz monitor and maybe add in some G-Sync goodness. :)

Then I'll be happy, 3gb is enough for me, just need the extra grunt for the frames. :)

How can be propaganda if you have sign from best overclocker on the world, 6GB Video Memory, unlimited Voltage and TDP.
That mean EVGA work on this card together with him. If you ask me this or 20%stronger reference Maxwell without sec of thinking I say this.
It's much better when you have some hardware with magic inside than normal reference model. Even if NVIDIA say Maxwell in April if I successfully sell mine GTX780 Classified for normal price and everything pass OK I will buy this card.

One thing is important for me when we talk about Maxwell, look careful performance of GTX780Ti in games.
Even reference model have bigger fps in games than any generation before, how is real to NVIDIA launch Maxwell now over that.
Maybe, but how much stronger, not full potential, nothing extra special in first months.
Until that people can play 10-12 months minimum with Ti Classified or what they plan with 6GB model.

Could it just be that its a "KIngpIn" backplate?!?! :)

High probability.

Wow. That's disappointing.

No way, that K|NGP|N logo is actually silkscreened onto the PCB :)

Plus its way more than just a logo, more details very soon of course

Sorry... As of today 6GB is reserved for TITAN only, so no work is being done on any EVGA 6GB 780 Ti right now... that could change in the future but no ETA if/when.
