Been having issues with BF4 since release. I use a Catleap monitor at 1440p with replacement PCB's to hit up to 119Hz. I've been playing at 110Hz or 119Hz like this for nearly a year.

With BF4, I get frequent crashes which appear to be OC instability. But even at stock SC clocks, I'm getting the issue of the screen tearing/shaking at specific spots at specific times. This only occurs when I am running SLI WITH the custom refresh rate. SLI at 60Hz or a single GPU at 119Hz does not cause the problem.

I have tried re-installing drivers, using EVGA's pixel OC tool, and using NVIDIA's custom resolution tool w/ auto and manual timings. Nothing has worked thus far. I'm obliged to believe it is a game/driver issue, but it's still crap if I have to choose 60Hz in SLI or 119Hz with one card. BF4 is the only game I have issues with.

Does anyone have any ideas of what I could try?... pics showing/describing the visual issue.

Shaking is horizontal and occurs on bottom 1/2 to 3/4 of the screen... just depends on what's being displayed at the time. It is sporadic. Sometimes it will crash as soon as the game launches, sometimes while loading, sometimes while playing. I might be able to play for an hour, or five minutes.

Screen goes black for about a minute, then I can ctrl+alt+del out of it. Get this error along with the tray popup that the drivers have stopped working (if OC'd it will reset to stock clocks - but it happens OC or not).

Does this happen in any other game? Because I had a similiar issue..  I would get crashes, tearing, all kinds of weird stuff with SLI only..  I tested everything, refresh rates, single card, even swapped cards in same pci slot, then tried the other pci slot to see if it was a PCI issue vs card issue..  It turned out to be the PRO Bridge I ordered from EVGA.. After going through the entire testing process, I said, let me try the ribbon bridge cable that came with my ROG board... Sure enough, all problems went away..  Check your bridge..  Let me know how to make out..

Did a bit of testing. Had no issues with 3DMark. Crysis 3 also crashed in the same manner as BF4 though. I swapped the SLI bridge to a flexible one, and the issue disappeared there, but remained in BF4 (so perhaps that was just isolated somehow). Tried another fresh driver install, using either card alone, and the results were the same - except this time the game refused to even launch in SLI with a custom refresh rate.

I put the PRO bridge back on and tried BF4 with x86, x64, Origin in-game on/off, and other programs closed. Nothing... until I changed it to borderless windowed mode. Now everything is working fine. No idea why it worked out like that, but I'm assuming it's a driver/engine issue.

I was able to pass the benchmarking tests as well.. Just had the weird issues in game.. Glad you are 100% stable now at least and your problems have disappeared.. Always a good thing.

Getting the same exact problem now with Metro: Last Light. Referencing the images above where the tearing happens at the center of those bright blue lights, the exact same thing is happening in this game. Crysis 3 is also unstable again by the looks of it... problem goes away out of full screen.

Also,  try reinstalling DirectX from the crysis or BF4 folder. I apologize for not knowing the file path to it,  but Google manual direct x update for bf4 and see if that helps.   I got a ton of crashes until I did that,  and then it only happened when the game updated (but didn't update DirectX properly)
