Does anyone know the board modification required for older EVGA X58 SLI LE boards to use Xeon processors?  My board is E757 Rev 1.0 and I've read there is a mod for the X58 Classified board that requires soldering two points on the board and upgrading the BIOS to 83.  I would like to do the same with my board but the layout is a little different.  I've already loaded BIOS 83, so If anyone can provide instructions and solder points for my EVGA X58 SLI LE, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!
Daxx

    We do not recommend modifying it yourself and physical modifications not done by us will void the warranty.  Please contact us either by e-mail at support@evga.com or call 24/7 888.881.EVGA (3842) and have the serial number handy when contacting us.  If you have not done so register it on your account here before contacting us.

    Could you at least PM me the information with the standard "do at your own risk" clause?  I work in semiconductors and have no issue soldering boards whatsoever.  It will save me tons of down time waiting for RMA, if I'm even eligible for that.

    It is under our warranty terms here under "Product condition" and the relevant section is
    There must be no physical damage to any component including the PCB, GPU/chipset, CPU Socket, or damage that is caused by:
    • negligence, accidents, modifications, defective installation or misuse and use of inappropriate spare parts;
    For what to modify, unfortunately we do not release that info as it is not supported for the end user to perform at all.

    Okay thank you.  It never hurts to ask, but I do respect EVGA company policy regarding this issue.
