Hello EVGA community

I currently have installed Windows 8 Pro on my system.
Today I wanted to hang on Windows Pro 8.1 update (via the App Store), but when you restart the computer remains and restarts.

Once the computer is booted now, he showed me the following message:

Update on Windows 8.1 per unsuccessful.
Unfortunately the update to Winows 8.1 Pro could not be performed.
We have again demonstrated your previous Windows on this PC

0xC1900101, 0x20017

to my system:

- EVGA SR-X motherboard (BIOS Version 020)
- 2x E5 CPUs -2690
- 96GB Corsair RAM @ 1600MHz
- EVGA GTX TITAN
- Creative Sound Core 3D sound card
- 2x Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD's in Raid0
- 6x 3TB HDD's WD30EZRX
- EVGA Supernova 1500

has anyone this problem, or does anyone have a solution for me?

Thank you once

    Hello!
I have similar problem with my notebook and update win 8.1. In my notebook also installed two HDD in RAID and after reboot i see system message with this error code.
I think that cause of the problem is RAID, because win 8.0 demonstrated similar problem with this notebook. The problem with win 8.0 has been solved as follows: installing windows and after creating RAID.

    Had the same error 0xC1900101 - 0x20017 on msi x79a-gd65 (8d) MB.

Had to make a clean install on my SSD to get windows 8.1 working. Had to make the SSD UEFI. The only way to turn a legacy HD/SSD into UEFI is to format
the drive. During the windows 8 install process you have an option to do this. You need to delete your system disk partitions and make a new one.
Although I have a watermark in the right lower corner of teh screen that says
    "Windows 8.1 Pro
    SecureBoot isn't configured correctly
    Build 9600"

It turns out that the MB supports UEFI but does not support TPM and therefore Bit Locker. (I am not an expert, I might be bs-ing :))

So I did an clean install, this is how.

Make an copy of yor Windows 8 disk (.iso), safe it to your desktop (or where you will find it)
There is a tool you can download from microsoft that enables you to make a bootable USB key with the Windows 8 image.
Change your boot sequence on the MB and make USB key #1.
    Reboot and follow the instructions.
You get to choose if you want to download updates or keep on installing windows 8. I chose not to.
Once the system is up, Windows 8.1 update will not show in app store untill you install about 70 updates via windows update.
Once the updates are done. You can install windows 8.1.

note. I did not install any MB drivers nor drivers for other devices untill Windows 8.1 was up and running.

    Hope this helps some one.
