Hello, I figure the simplest way to do this is just post some pictures of my BIOS for Voltage and OC so I've attached all of those.

I have my CPU and my NB/SB and Mosfets all under watercooling with 2x360 radiators. Currently I never see any temps go above 80c when running Intel burn test. I can typically only last about 10 minutes or so on Intel Burn test though. I will usually end up getting a 7e BSOD, which I know is memory, or a 124 BSOD when I'm playing Battlefield 3, which I believe is the QPI/VTT or Vcore.

Is there anything glaringly obviously wrong? I do have 12gb of RAM, Corsair XMS3 6x2gb that are the 1600mhz. I have considered dropping this to just 6gb as I know running 6 sticks really stresses the IMC on these processors.

I'm looking for stability, and then after that some potential further overclocking.

Let me know if more info is needed.

Edit: I removed 6gb of ram, put command rate to 1t and CPU vtt to +150mv. I ran Intel burn test and it didn't freeze or bsod, but it just let me know my system is unstable. It made it through the first pass and on the second it errored.

Nothing obvious stands out except running without vdroop probably has your CPU hitting 1.5v under load. That isn't good on water cooling. If you're hitting 80C plus and you can't run IBT longer than 10 minutes, your overclock isn't stable (which you already know) and your CPU cooling isn't adequate. Personally, since the difference between 4.4 and 4.3 isn't netting you measurable gain, I'd take the stability. 4.4 is a very good overclock on a 920. Without more exotic cooling you're not going much higher and, unless you're just benching what is the point if you're not game stable?

Well, enabling vdroop has dropped my temps considerably. I don't go over 72 c now. Sitting at just about 4.3ghz and I can pass 10 Intel burn test passes. Suppose I need to do a bit more fiddling to optimize my voltages now.

Yes, without vdroop, your CPU voltage goes up under load. With vdroop your voltages will drop a bit. As I was saying, you were probably hitting close to 1.5v which is way too high. Also, you shouldn't need the IOH over 1.2. You might also try lowering your CPU PLL to 1.75.

how much ram are you selecting in IBT, the default is like 1024, which will not give you a true stability test, i run it maxed on the ram so it stresses the memory controller more and will show if you are 100% stable, also to really get a good read on your cooling try running 25 passes minimum.

If I am running with 12gb of RAM and select maximum I do run into the failures. I know this is because I use all 6 RAM slots on this motherboard, and it is really stressing the Memory Controller. But, at the same time, no game has issues now that I've adjusted a few voltages, and enabled Vdroop. My temperatures don't even go above 70c. It might not be Stress Test Stable if I use all the RAM, but no game has crashed, as they don't use 12gb of RAM. I might fool with using 6gb of RAM, or perhaps buying some 4 gb sticks of RAM so I only need 3 sticks to achieve 12gb.

Unfortunately... they don't really sell triple channel kits anymore haha, and I can't find individual 4gb sticks at a 2000 or 2133 speed. I was looking to get some nice RAM that gives me some more overhead but I would only need 3, not 4 like you typically see these days.

Overall though, I am pretty satisfied with my overclock. I'm going to continue to toy with voltages. I built this thing almost 4.5 years ago now and I still run everything on max settings at 1920x1080. I was lucky enough that when my GTX295 died, EVGA RMAed it and sent me a GTX570 HD, so that is helping breathe some life into my rig.

i just bought a tripple channel kit last month, here is a list of 30 kits of 12GB http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007611%20600006050%20600006078&IsNodeId=1&name=12GB%20%283%20x%204GB%29
using all six slots is going to hard to get stable, i think even evga recommended only using three when overclocking.

yeah in think it was learned that the IMC in the intel chips is a bit week when it first came out, not sure if it got better but from the kits i see for newer cpus i thinking not.

Thank you. Here is a build log (quite a bit outdated) of my PC actually.

http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=354106

I've attached 10 photos that are only a little more updated. I have since received a GTX570 HD from an EVGA RMA, which is really nice compared to the GTX295. And overall it is a little dusty right now because I just haven't taken the time to clean it. I have... far too many plans, some of which are outline in the thread I linked. The big gap I need to cross now is actually sleaving all the wires. I also need to get some brackets to mount hard drives to my fans, mountain mods sells some nice ones. There is just too many things to list.

But eventually, who knows when... a year or two.... I will rewrite a complete build log from beginning to end that is organized.

Also, I'm seeing some of the thumbnails come up as "Error!" But when I click them they all work. So yeah, feel free to click and check them out. There is also an awesome picture of how I ran this computer for quite a few months hah! It was placed on two pieces of pink styrofoam that came in the box I received my RMAed motherboard in. Had it all watercooled sitting on my floor on styrofoam... so sad. It is slightly disassembled in the photo, no fans and such.

Thank you! I spent quite a bit of time on the case. It was fun to build, but I just really spread it out over a couple years. It is far from done, but I still love the thing. It is a little over 20 inches wide and deep, and about 29 inches tall. It is a monster.
