Hey Guys/Tech Support,

If anyone has one handy, can they please unscrew the metal VRM cooling plate on a HydroCopper Classified 780 block, there is a lot of confusion as to if the water passes through the POM and onto this section and then back again or not.

So to try and solve this once and for all, if someone has got a block handy they haven't yet installed, or Tech Support have a block they can open up. Can you please take off the VRM section and post up a photo of the POM section to see what's behind it?

Here you go  scroll down to the Swiftech Komodo/EVGA Hydrocopper picture.   I can confirm that the EVGA block is identical to the Komodo.  Pulled my two Titan Hydro Copper blocks apart to swap the red leds for white. The VRM section is by the inlet/outlet that has wires for the led.  The block is one of the poorer performing in vrm cooling according to the test done in the article.

That's a different block.

Sorry about that.  I will bet you a donut that the interior of the blocks are identical.  With the exception of the block being a bit wider.

Looking a bit more at the inlet/outlet locations which are more centered, the interior pathway would have to be different to get at the memory and VRM section.  Probably own someone a donut.

I still can't believe people thought they were selling a full cover water block (with essentially the same design for the past few years) that was passively cooling the VRM. LOL
