Hello everyone,

My name is Derick, I am EK Waterblock's new forum rep. I've been assisting others with EK questions via OCN for quite some time but now I am expanding to other tech forums. I want to open this thread for people to ask any questions they may have about EK products.

Before asking questions please consult our website dedicated to users who have any compatibility questions.
www.coolingconfigurator.com

Our YouTube channel also has many How-To Videos that can help with most questions users have.
EKWB YouTube Channel

This website will assist with nearly any question you may have concerning compatibility with any of our products including but not limited to CPU, GPU, and chipset blocks. Any other questions that can't be solved by the CC can be asked here.

Of course besides compatibility questions I am here to answer any other questions related to EKWB products. I will also assist with any questions pertaining to how to setup and configure your water cooling loop. Our video on YouTube detailing how to install one of our EK-Kit's will help with most of those questions I hope.

I will *attempt* to keep the [following] post updated with waterblocks that are currently either in progress or we plan to make blocks for. Feel free to ask about what blocks are currently planned but please do a little research beforehand so I don't end up answering if the Asus Maximus VI Formula will be receiving a block 400x like I do on Facebook ;)

Trust me, I push to get pictures up of new products that we can either preview or are ready to be purchased as soon as humanly possible. Manufacturing takes time and we do our best to deliver the blocks as soon as we can but we are a small team.

If you have a product that isn't working correctly and you would like to RMA, I cannot help you with this. Our support team would love to assist you with this problem and you can open a ticket at www.ekwb.com/support . Please do not PM or post here any problems such as "My radiator came damaged, fix this". You will receive much faster help by contacting our support directly.

I hope this thread is ok with Staff, I know some forums are picky because they think support threads are seen as advertising. If any staff has any problems feel free to PM me. I just want it to be clear that the purpose of this thread is not advertisement. We understand that water cooling can be confusing to some and we want to be able to provide support to as many people as possible, that is the purpose of this thread. Thank you for reading and lets all have a good time :)

Also; feel free to post images of your rigs featuring EKWB products here!

I do have some questions you might be able to answer.

    1. I have your 770 block on my evga 770 sc and a evga backplate. unfortunately your screws for mounting the block and evga's backplate screws are not compatible. Any chance I could get the specs for your waterblock screws so I can find slightly longer ones to mount the EVGA backplate on the 770 block?

    2. Your website announced block for 780 classified at end of september is this still on schedule?

    3. Any chance of you continuing to produce waterblocks for evga non-reference graphic cards? I am not a fan of swiftech simply put and rather use EK blocks

hopefully these questions aren't ones that you are constantly asked. I've just haven't seen any information or updates.

    Thank you,

    1. The mounting screws are M3x4
See 3.3 in the manual: http://www.ekwb.com/shop/EK-IM/EK-IM-3831109868256.pdf

    2. Unfortunately it is still in development and currently set for early to mid October.

    3. It really depends on how well the 780 Classified blocks sell. If we don't sell that much then not likely. The 780 classified seems to be pretty popular though and a lot of users like yourself seem frustrated with Swiftech (that I've seen). We're hoping for good sales so we can justify to continue to make blocks for the higher end non-reference EVGA cards.

I had the same problem as you seta, all I did was drill a bigger hole for the EK screws to fit and it was fine. Don't know if you're willing to do that though lol.

    Hi Derick,

While I understand that you need to have good sales to justify continued production of non-reference EVGA cards. You do understand that the classified has been out for months and the HC version and the HC blocks themselves have had a months head start. So while I also would have purchased a EK Fullcover XXL 780 Classified block well before I purchased the Swiftech/EVGA HydroCopper block, given I would the wait I purchased the HC blocks. That was for 3 cards. And I don't imagine I'm the only one with this opinion.

So what I'm hinting at is that maybe next time around you could come to the market with a FC block earlier, and actually get a good gauge of how many people might buy the EK version, and for this time around that it isn't an entirely accurate gauge as to interest of blocks for EVGA products.

I'll try it out, thank you.
I agree Acesi7, the 780 classified been out for awhile and rumors of 800 series out Q1 of 2014 does not give much of a chance for sells. I hope EK are taking this into account.

    +1 EVGA-EK collaboration.

We are taking into account how late into the market the 780 Classy block is launching. By low sales I meant really low sales.

The 780 Classy block will have a backplate made by us to match it.

Oh and we won't disappoint in the VRM section ;) check out Stren's titan block roundup, we know what's up!

With what seems like more than a few people interested in the 780 classified would it be possible to do a group for those that want them as a jump-start? I might have money for a 780 classy or 2 next month maybe. depends on how much japanese JCI (car insurance for 2 years) is going to cost me.

We should be receiving a sample of the 780 Classy block to test (and most likely preview) next week. From there, if everything goes smoothly, it should be available to order in 2 - 3 weeks.

evga should have partnered with EK over swiftech in the first place imo :P best waterblocks on the market by far imo. And they dont cost as much as lesser performing blocks

I agree, but I think that since Swiftech and EVGA are both based in the US, it is cheaper and easier for them.

The 780 Classified block will be less than $170, unless we decide to gold plate it

@Szeged, what were you cleaning it with? Yeah warranty won't be valid anymore unfortunately. I talked to one of the engineers and he said that there should be replacement Titan plexi tops available to order in our webshop (probably resellers as well) soon. If there isn't one in a week then remind me again and I'll bother them for you.

Due to time constraints there will only be a nickel acetal version for the 780 Classy. Maybe in the future for non-ref EVGA blocks there will be other versions available. Prototype is in the office, I'll have a preview tomorrow of it :)
