So I got an Asus PQ321Q 3840x2150 I have 4 titans I cant get the Asus to display at 60hz on the titans using MFT I get it to display at 30hz I use a premium displayport 1,2 connection, but the moment mft is enable it becomes a black screen, even at boot if I use an ATI 7990, it displays fine the dual hdmi cables don't do more than a black screen So, 4k in video cards WASTED, there is NO solution to get the 1.2 display port to work on a 4k screen for MFT and Titans? Why can ATI do it? Any suggestions? Thx in advance PS - I called evga for help...

NVIDIA MFT will be black through POST and into Windows. The Screen won't come up until the driver loads. This is because they don't really support MFT for non-Quadro... yet. Make sure you're running 326.80 BETA from NVIDIA, that adds the support.

Nope
Not even then
Pitch black, you can hear windows load in the background, but Never turns monitor on
2 things wrong The monitor cannot directly run at 60hz unless its in MFT mode in which case it's two monitors really side by side
And
Titans don't natively run MFT
Regardless, every known combination yielded ZERO success at getting 60hz at full resolution
Displayport just won't run 60hz
My whole build is evga, Interestingly my radon 7990 popped it up no problem....

Yeah it took some testing in our offices with a custom driver from NVIDIA to get things working (I work at ASUS), it's definitely not a simple setup. NVIDIA is simply behind the times on this right now... With the new driver though, we normally got it working just fine - even with a pair of 760's. Sucks it's not working for you :( Sidenote - the reason the monitor has to run MFT for that refresh is simply onboard processing power. Next gen 4k won't have the problem, maybe even a refresh of that model... yay for early adopters!

I wouldn't say behind the times since 4k even on monitor's only just started happening in last month or 2.

The new Nvidia 327.23 WHQL said in the release notes that they have added/fixed support for 4K monitors in that driver. I'd try that before trying anything else.

I've been able to get 60hz working for a bit in windows (all drivers past 326.40(?) should have worked for the asus screen).. but i have to leave my screen off when the computer is posting otherwise the computer won't boot (when the screen is in MST mode) Jacob, does this bios fix the POST issue? if so does it work with BOTH the Asus screen and the Sharp PNK321 (the asus IS the sharp.. but the EDID info is different)

Hello, I have a similar issue. I have the PQ321Q and 3 GTX 780s. If I run in triSLI I get a hard lock or a black screen after running any sort of game or 3d benchmark. If I disable the bottom (3rd PCI slot) and run in dual SLI it works fine. I send Jacob an email. I would like to try the new bios. I am running the 326.80 driver with the ASUS maximus extreme 6 on the latest bios. Windows 8 64 bit.

WOW!! the firmware fixed the POST/Boot issue.. this really made my day.. after 4-5 months and spending over 10k... i can finally turn my computer on without doing wacky stuff and get to a 4k2k screen @ 60hz.
Thanks Jacob! someone should give feedback to NVidia so they can put this fix on ALL their cards - not just the titan. (like for amcquaid with his 780s above)

the bios update fixed most of the issue HOWEVER if you had a SC version of the card, the clocks go back to stock with this bios

Well I was going to try the bios until I read JayVenturi's post regarding OCs losing their overclock. I guess I'll wait till this isn't the case... I also have a PQ321Q plugged into 4 Titan OCs, and in turn plugged into a Dark. Not only will the pc not boot with the screen in MST with the monitor on, but also with the monitor off, although it will boot regardless of being on or off in SST. Is this what everyone else is experiencing? I'm running an NEX1500 and 4x8gb Corsair Platinum if it matters I can so relate to zurvv's (and everyone else's) pain with all the switching--remember what it was like the first several dozen power up/downs when you'd still hit the power switch every few times at the reboot confirmation screen?! Testament to 4k that I stick with the PQ instead of going back to my 3x VG278Hs with 3D surround (now plugged into my X58 with 2x690s)--it's almost a 32' retina display...

everyone gets the POST issue unless they have this unreleased bios. At least us with titans have a fix... no such luck for any other NVidia user. I've had my display for almost 6 months >.< but you should apply the bios - have you watched the gpu usage on your quad titans? yeah.. hardly every fully used. (for most games i think i was faster with tri sli). If games aren't maxing your cards out a little bit lower clock for a week or two till a SC bios out won't make a diff). Totally worth it to be able just turn the PC on :)

Hey guys. I just read this thread and got some questions. I just ordered the yet to released Panasonic 4k TV set. It has Display Port 1.2a as well as HDMI 2.0. Reading the issues some of you had above with your 4k Displays, is there anything I should look into to make sure I have no issues? Nvidia released a video where they worked with Panasonic on the set for 4k gaming and since no GPU has HDMI 2.0, the hooked it up using the Display Port on the GPU and the TV to drive it. I just want to make sure I have no issues, so any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks! Here is the link to the video btw... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Bq4x2TmFjI&feature=player_embedded

Question, will this allow for dual-spanning via any MST resolution? Say you want 2560x800 or 3840x1080?
