This driver seems optimized for the latest Tomb Raider.
Users also experienced good results on Crysis 3 and many other games...
Seemed to get good feedback from everyone at Guru3D forums!

    311? We are on 314 now, why is it named 311?

    we jumped from 310.90WHQL to 314.07WHQL...so what is up with 311?

    311 wasn't released on the Nvidia or Geforce website.  311 was released as a windows update.. if you notice the download links, they are from windows.
     
    If you are skeptical, please follow the link to the Guru3D forum about this driver.

    The 311 windows NVIDIA driver may not contain full features as compared to the NVIDIA website based drivers.

    Full features as in what?
     
    2 things aren't included in this 311 driver.. but can be installed manually..
     
    PhysX and Nvidia HD Audio Driver.

    I am running 311 now on a new build... I was on my way to update when I saw this so I installed Phis.X and the HD audio.  What I didn't quite get from the thread and links is if there is any increased performance on 311 other then the language packs.  I haven't updated to 314 yet due to the performance I am getting on Crysis 3.  Excellent thus far, but still curious about 314!!!

    I tried these in BF3 without problems. I got two errors in my Event Viewer, probably one for each board. Windows says the update failed but the drivers are installed and working. I had to uninstall 3D driver and Updater. IDK.

    I uninstalled the 314 drivers and went with the 310.90s.  Then I seen an update for the 311 drivers.  Installed them and things appear to be faster so I downloaded the .cab file from this page.  How do install it upon  later use?

    I would never use a Windows recommended driver update. It sounds like a non-certified Nvidia driver, or a previous version(310.) with modifications not certified from Nvidia.
