I bought this motherboard about a month ago and i'm having some strange problems with it. When i try to change something in bios it usually don't boot. The debug display don't show anything and even pressing power on button on PC it doesn't turn off the machine. What do i have to do? Well, i have to turn power supply off for a couple of minutes and after turning on, it works, sometimes. I know that it will boot and when see debug led display working. I've never seen this kind of thing before and i'm not sure if it's a motherboard problem, cause the problem only happens when i try to change something in bios. What's wrong?
My system:
I7 920
EVGA Classified 3-Way
6 GB DDR3 Dominator 8 8 8 24 ( the motherboard on auto mode always set to 8 8 8 19 )
Nvidia 280 XXX
Enermax Galaxy 1000W

Is it a bios problem? According Sandra my bios is: E760-8A79TEVBC-00

PSU timing problems? I don't think so cause it was working perfectly and it's still working fine. Why this problems only happens when i try to change a setting? Besides that, that's no problems at all. It was working nice on my Rampage II, without any problems.

pdt26 when you change something in BIOS, and you tell it to save changes, it always reboots, including the BIOS. But some changes require a full power cycle (power down). Often the computer comes on for a second, then shuts down again, and after another second or two it then comes back on and boots. This is normal. Are you letting this happen? Or are you then entering the BIOS again instead bc you think something is wrong?

About your power button, when you enter Windows the power button behaves as it is set in Windows. Once in Windows it will only turn off the power if that's how it's set in Windows (I think the default action is either "shutdown windows" or "sleep"). And sometimes you have to hold the button for 5 sec for it to shut down the computer (immediately like power off shutdown).

About your LED readout, yeah, seems weird. But if you were on one of those "double-pump" boots, and did not let the second "pump" occur, perhaps nothing would show on the LED I don't know.

    * * * EDIT * * *: Wow, you also had Rampage II? What happened? Me too:

I'm letting it happens. The fact is, when this strange problems happens, i can't even access the bios. I have to turn power supply off for 1-2 minutes to get image again, and also the led indicator. Can it be a bios problem? I'm using the last one. Is it safe to overwrite it? I just don't know what to do anymore. It's really annoying.

Another thing to check is all your wiring from the case to the motherboard, perhaps something may be loose or not connected all the way. That is definitely a decent PSU you are running in your rig, so power should not be an issue.

The strange thing about it is that all motherboard lights are on, except the led. When it happens i got no led display image, no image...nothing at all. I'll check all wires again but i don't belive that's the problems.

I think if you aren't changing anything in the BIOS, and you have plugged in the 8-pin power connector to the mobo, you should call tech support, prob have to RMA.

Just one "F"? That really sounds like a bad board.

And it got worse after installing the new bios. Even the EVGA logo gone and it's enable. It's getting hard to boot. Usually try 6-10 times to make it work. It's really strange. Sometimes the led indicate nothing and other times FF code.

The logo was not included on the latest bios due to size limitations.  At least that is what was said about the 759 Classified 43 and 44 bios.  It is sounds like a mobo issue to me as well.  Something is not working properly if the display is not showing characters much of the time.

I just installed another power supply and the problems persists. It is the motherboard! My second EVGA motherboard is dead. It is a shame. Just hope their RMA to Brazil works fine.

Problems solved by EVGA phone support. Sounds stupid but all i had to do was removing the motherboard battery, wait 10 minutes and than put it back. My PC is working properly now.
    Thanks to everyone.

I hope so. If it starts again i'll have to send the motherboard to the USA. In other words, i'll have to wait a long time and i just can't do my stuff without a computer. It'd be a shame. My fingers are crossed anyway!
Halloween Weed: I just sold my Rampage II for a friend before going to the US. Good motherboard. No problems at all. Just hope Classified to be at least as good as Rampage II.

Ahhh, so you are not in USA. I wonder what your power line power quality is. Even if it is off frequency it could play havoc with your PS.

Power quality line is very good. I also use a good nobreak to prevent eventual damages. Dammit, as far as i can see a lot of people have this problem with EVGA motherboards. I'm missing my Asus now. Never had a single problem with them.

I'm really worried about EVGA RMA. I checked another forums and this problem is very common. Worse than that: in many cases the motherboard return with the same problem. I don't want to spend U$120 everytime with this motherboard. How can't they fix that cronic issue? They even created a video about that what means that the problems persists. I need a solution, not a attempt to fix. Come on, a U$400 motherboard shouldn't have this kind of problem.
