it's a lot smaller than dawngard, only 400 MS points so I'm guessing it's a $4 DLC whenever it hits steam.

"Question everything!"
"Why?"
"Why what?"
"Why should I Question everything?"
"I uh... let me get back to you on that."

I might get that, when it comes out on PC.

Although this seems like it should have been more of a update instead of a DLC.

Raising children in your diorama of Taxidermy.... that's just too funny.  I do like the idea of building your perfect house, that could be very cool, but there are mods for that.

I'd buy it if it's $4 just for the fact that I can adopt a kid. The house looks cool but I wonder how much customization there is actually going to be.

I tried that mod the outdoor area was really nice. But by the time you finish it, it looks really cluttered along the waterfall. If there were a few less things i would have like it more.

But the house part sucked. The themes were nice but thats it, it really wasnt anything special since the basement was a copy of the house in riften and the upstairs was cramped. Not to mention it had no windows. Idk how you can live in a house with out windows.

There is no way and I mean no way, I am getting this patch.  I'll take an arrow to the knee than getting this patch (building a house and adopting kids)

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags!
The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. When you abuse it, it reverses on you and it hurts you.The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, or when power is used to go into the lower dimensional planes.Power, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

this won't be anything special it looks like, just new house designs, weapons, craft tables, etc

With Skyrim’s newest game add-on, Hearthfire, you can purchase land and build your own home from the ground up – from a simple one-room cottage to a sprawling compound complete with an armory, alchemy laboratory, stable, garden, and more. Use all-new tools like the drafting table and carpenter’s workbench to transform quarried stone, clay, and sawn logs into structures and furnishings. Even transform your house into a home by adopting children.

The children adoption though has me curious, cause one of the citys did have an Orphanage in it. Since the game allows you to get married, why not adopt a child to go with it I guess if you choose to.

    I mean...it's...I dunno.

Maybe it will come with more quests or something?  Seems kinda...really, really small in scale.

That castle does look cool. Has it caused you gave save to bloat at all though? ive been trying to stay away from mods with scripts since my last game saved got messed up with sounds of skyrim and deadly dragons. Managed to go from a 10mb save to a 50mb save in like 3 days. Cant even open it now, just crashes to desktop so some mods make me a little worried.

The asteria mod is really cool. I had it but uninstalled it because i have another house and the ship in like right on top of it.

These two are by far my favorite houses ive checked out:
    http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/18112
    http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20241

The first one is cool because theres no doors so the light shines right it and actually adjusts to the day. Except the one time i had to kill a wolf in my bedroom. haha. The second one is amazing you should definitely check it out. It just looks so nice, you feel like its you own secret hideout.

I will probably get it.  I wonder what the mod community will come up with since this should add some new resources to the game.

There already is a mod for free that allows you to do that.

I wonder how much better Bethesda can do than the mod

I tried that mod the outdoor area was really nice. But by the time you finish it, it looks really cluttered along the waterfall. If there were a few less things i would have like it more.

But the house part sucked. The themes were nice but thats it, it really wasnt anything special since the basement was a copy of the house in riften and the upstairs was cramped. Not to mention it had no windows. Idk how you can live in a house with out windows.

I personally downloaded it but never got to try it. I just heard some people liked it as it was sort of your own creation. Anyways personally I am using Vjarkell castle mod. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/21918

I love it. It's big, has a nice layout and it has many nice assets from the dawngaurd dlc. btw Dawngaurd is required so it might not work if you don't have it. If you don't have dawngaurd there is the Asteria house mod which is a great house and is very unique.

And yeah a house with no windows is just weird but hey you aren't actually in the game to worry about oxygen

I have the Vjarkell Castle mod and it hasn't caused any save bloating for me.  My favorite house mod is Rayek's End - Mini Hideout for its simplicity and atmosphere.  I think I will try out the one you have linked that is in a cave.

should be a free update not a dlc...

I take no issue with Bethesda making for pay DLC. There are 1000's of free add-ons to off set a couple of for-pay DLCs. This isn't like BF3 where you have zero choice.

1+ If you want free, you're perfectly welcome to it with Skyrim luckily, like Brad said..
