Hey all,

It seems that a decent amount of people are starting to get their hands on the Classified 680. I'm curious as to what sort of clocks people are seeing at stock voltage. Most of what I've been reading is that people are unhappy if their card can't reach 1300MHz on stock voltage. I want to see if the common man can expect to see 1300MHz off stock voltage based off of a bell curve, or if you have to hit the "lottery" like I'm beginning to suspect.

I've got some data points from a few sources(I only included verified newegg owner info for obvious reasons):

My own result - 1322MHz (previous:1300)
Anandtech's result - 1301MHz
Newegg Verified Owner - 1262MHz
Newegg Verified Owner #2 - 1260MHz
Newegg Verified Owner #3 - 1305MHz
White Dragon (EVGA Forum Member) - 1340MHz
evfan (EVGA Forum Member, posted in "Just got my 680 classy :D") - 1266MHz
dmalone1977 (in this thread) - 1297MHz and 1305MHz respectively.
Stein357(in this thread) - 1278MHz
FataZilty(in this thread) - 1312MHz

Current non-EVbot OC average: 1295.2
Cards reported to achieve 1300+MHz w/o EVbot: 6/11 (54%)

Can anyone else chime in?

EDIT: Good catch Jacob.

EDIT #2: The weather here took a break from it's hot streak, so I opened all the doors and windows and gave her another go. Finally got into the 1300MHz club  I bumped the offset by one more after hitting 1300 and the card jumped to 1302 and crashed. I wonder if 1301 would be stable...

EDIT #3: All the guys who couldn't reach 1300MHz, give it another shot. You all are likely more experienced than myself in the dark art of OCing, but I'll post some common-sense tips here:

-Turn the fan up to 55% via manual control and let it stick for the duration of the test.

-Double check that your TDP is set to 131%.

-If you've got a manual controller for your case fans, turn them up to max.

-OC stability is entirely based on temps. The higher you clock the cooler your GPU needs to be. In my experience if you can stay below 48C, you'll be stable when you hit 1300MHz. Your mileage will vary.

Anandtech was 1301MHz, not 1211MHz. (need to look at boost clock, not base clock)

Like with CPUs, overclocking is a lot of luck. It's a gamble and sometimes you hit the jackpot.

I'm aware of this. I just want to get enough data together to be able to put together a bell curve.

Bump, people are starting to wake up. Hopefully we'll get more results.

I've got 2 inbound on Monday, should have some air results early next week, LN2 sometime after that.

Planning on checking max clocks on air using stock voltage, max clocks on air with EVBot control, and max clocks on LN2 with EVBot.

I got 2 cards from newegg yesterday and 1 boosts to 1297 and another to 1305.  I'm very happy, i'm not using EV BOT yet.

Like others said you really want voltage to make these cards purr, I have no doubt that i'll be hitting 1375+ with EV bot

Good deal man  I'd love to get another thread like this going w/ folk using the EVbot. You gunning for kingpin's 2GHz record?

Yep, can't wait to try EV Bot on these bad boys!   My main complaint like others have said, I wish EV Bot were cheaper.   In any case i'm happy with how the cards perform, and cannot wait to push some more volts into them
