I received my card on Monday this week and everything was going great the first couple days. On day 3 Wednesday I ran into an issue with the gpu throttling for no reason. I've been running Heaven Benchmark to work on my Overclock but now my card keeps going back and forth from normal clocks back to idle clocks. I notice my power % in evga precision keeps spiking to 230%. When it runs normally it only runs around 90% power %. Has anyone else had this problem? Currently using 304.48 beta drivers. I've got it to run properly after awhile but today Thursday the same issue has popped up. I've done a clean OS install and driver install to make sure it's not a bad driver as well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Seems after I leave my pc on for awhile the problem goes away. I'm not sure why it's doing this. I left my pc on for about an hour and now its gone. The card isn't in my main system so when I shut down I turn the power supply off. I'm not sure if this is having any effect on the matter.

I had a very similar problem with a GTX 680 FTW 2GB model.  My card's power % would spike up to 275% and downclock to 324Mhz.  I too noticed that mine would start to work normal after my system was on for longer than an hr.  I returned my card to Newegg, as my other GTX 680 FTW 2GB didn't have this issue.

Yea looks like I'm gonna RMA. Every cold boot the problem comes back. Don't really feel like waiting an hour after I get off work or something to play a game.

Thank god I'm not the only one experiencing this issue so it is the card and not my system. Just got a rma from EVGA gonna send it back.
