Finally finished my latest and thought I would share. I designed this build to be future proof (well at least for another 4 years) and there is LOTS of overkill in this computer. I really did enjoy planning it, designing it and making it happend. I haven't upgraded in 4 years, so I saved up my bones. Currently, she is clocked at 4.8 ghz 3770K, stabile EVGA FTW Z77 G Skill 2666 4X4gb EVGA GTX 690 Quad SLI Koolance 690 blocks Bitspower Memory block ( I didn't want fans this go around) EK Supreme CPU block Loop 1 - BLackice SR1 480 to CPU and Memory + Gentle Typhoon 1850 Loop 2 - Blackice SR1 480 and 360 to GPU + Gentle Typhoon 1850 Koolance RP-452X2 reservoir with 2X 655 pumps and RMP tachs Koolance TMS-205 with daughter board to control all fans grouped to case, upper rad, and lower rads with flow control, flow meters, temp sensors ......for full software control of the cooling. Lund Reservoir - I like the way it looked, so I added another Bitspower fittings Koolance extreme flow disconnects Corsair AX-1200 Custom cables - sleeved by yours truly LG blue ray Silverstone USB 3.0 memory card reader and 3.0 USB I/O Crucial M4 SSDs in Raid O Baracuda XT 3 gb Case Labs Sth10 Magnum Illumination is all on remote control with phase, blink, on/off (with the Z77 dark jumper, she can almost go completely dark)

That looks amazing! Just out of curiosity, why did you decide for a Z77 build instead of a X79 build? You state alot of the gear is overkill but you had this in mind for longevity. I would of thought that spending a splash more on a X79 system would of given you that longevity moreso than a Z77.

I didn't want the problems of the X79. I wanted native functionality on the ports. I wanted an Ivybridge CPU. It was also cheaper, although price really wasn't a factor. Its really a nice board minus a few bugs that are being worked on. With the PLX chip and two 690s, it worked. I also have no interest in running more than two video cards. The 690s are pure power at a savings of heat and GPU requirements as compared to multiple 680s. Coming from a 790i, the Ivy was logically the best move because clock for clock, it's faster than sandybridge. I also do more than game. I needed something with good USB 3.0 / Sata 6 gb/s for transferring large video files.
