We've discovered that the muliplier downclocks under load. Mine does. I've put in the settings given in the OC guide. What stops it is this. SajinFixed the multiplier dropping issue. What I did was... From the Overclocking tab in BIOS, navigate to CPU Configuration, then navigate to CPU Power Management Configuration and set: IA Core Current Max(1/8 AMP): 2040 Power Limit 1 Value(1/8 WATT): 2040 Power Limit 2 Value(1/8 WATT): 2040 Long Duration Power Limit: 255 Long Duration Maintained: 120 Short Duration Power Limit: 255 Holds a steady x47 now. Is there a better solution or a bios fix?

yeah, it's quite interesting why those power settings make the multiplier stop fluctuating under load. it would be nice to hear an official explanation on this one and/or a promise of new BIOS free of this bug.

Yep, had that multiplier downclock issue as well... I think it has something to do with a CPU power limiter on the board. I guess those higher values posted by Sajin took the "limiter" off Now my CPU doesn't downclock when loading LinX or Prime95

feniks thanks, I really hope myself to see one here, I actually visualize myself holding one every day ha ha! LMAO! I was just like that before I got this board. I had no social life for a week straight right as I received it I treated it like my baby, taking out of the box etc. etc.

Just got my system together yesterday with a 3770K and saw it was downclocking. Changed in bios the following settings that are listed in jacobs OC guide: disabled Vdroop Enabled PLL voltage Override CPU Core Control set to 1.25 V C1E set to disable CPU C3,C6 and C7 also set to disable Also made changes listed by Delirious in this thread I am running BIOS 1.04 Here is what weird. This did stop the downclocking till I tried changing the RAM timing from 1333 to 1600 (which is what my ram is rated for). When it didnt like the 1600 I had to go back to 1333. Since then it has been downclocking again. Any suggestions?

Update. Swapped to Bios 2. Flashed to 1.04 and re-entered settings and down clocking has stopped. Have to figure out what happened in Bios 1.

Mine CPU downclock only in idle with C1E enable on 1600MHz. On load 3.492MHz without Turbo. With Turbo 3.692MHz. I disable C1E to avoid downclock.
