I'm posting my 3.7Ghz OC template in the hopes it will help some other noobies like myself. It's nothing special. Maybe it will help someone as a starting point for their system. The only voltage I set was my DIMM voltage, every other voltage I left at Auto. My original memory timings were 8-8-8-24. This template passed 50 runs of Linx / All memory and 13 hrs of P95 / Blend. I am getting core temps between 75-80 and Vreg temps of 75, but I think it's due more to poor case cooling than high voltages. I'm happy with what I have, and, at the moment at least, not ready to push further. I tried 180 CPU Host Freq, but got a BSOD. I didn't pursue it to find the cause.

Hope this helps someone in some way.

You were probably topping out on what your CPU can do with what VCore you were giving it. If you were to go a few notches up in VCore and VTT, you would probably be able to keep going ;) You should try for 4.0+ GHZ...its a fun path :) Get some higher CFM fans and check out some new cases/better fan setups before you do tho. Maybe even a better CPU cooler while your at it (megahalems or TRUE to name a couple) If your hitting those temps at 3.7, you will need some better equipment to stay below 85 top load at 4.0 and further.

Cool of you as well offer up a template for example and there is nothing wrong with doing that. But because every setup is going to be different, there are no real *plug and play* templates. However something of this sort with a medium overclock is nice to have for reference to some.

    Thanks Inozim
That's one reason why I'll stay here for awhile. I've posted about my temp problems in other threads, and I know I need to do something. I have a couple of higher CFM fans, just haven't installed them yet. And my current case won't allow me to go with a bigger cpu cooler. I'm just not ready to give up on this case yet.

I've been buzzed by the OC BUG, but it hasn't bitten me hard yet. Maybe soon though.

    All good :)

When you have the extra $ to invest in a larger and more air flow friendly case with a new CPU cooler to boot, set it up and let us know! You will be very happy with the investment. For now however, I admire your patience and that's a good thing to have in this area. Your clock of 3.7 will be great for most things you can throw at it and the performance increase just from that will/should already of been noticeable ;)
