Kind of wondering why the E758_44.iso file you link to in your OP is not the same size filename or size as the one on the support page? Which one should we be using?

I am still using the SZ2R BIOS. I am not having any problems. Is there any reason I should update to a newer BIOS? I hate to break what is already working, but if there is some benefit I am missing, I would update. Also, is the BIOS revision scheme changing? We went from SZ2Z to 44?

Hmmm... I'm wondering if I did this right... My x58 SLI arrived today - I can't build the system because I received all the parts EXCEPT the case, but I thought I'd burn a BIOS update with this pc. I used Nero to burn a CD using the .iso, and while it completed "Successfully", the disc appears to be blank in Windows explorer, though the CD's name is showing up as 20100204_2343, and 1.45 mb of space is used. This PC, is obviously not built around a x58, so I'm not about to reboot with this CD in to see if it works, but is this normal?

I have just updated to this bios and it doesnt seem to use my XMP profile properly. I use the Dummy OC with the turbo modes and all worked fine before. Now when I used the XMP profile before i was using my ram at its rated 1600. Now its giving me a weird speed, if my memory is running in Triple channel, do I multiply my DRAM frequency which is 638.4 x 3 or by 2? Cause if so its either running at 1915.2 or 1276.8. My FSB:DRAM is 2:8 and my bus speed is 159.6.

Any more user experiences on this? It's been up for 3 days.. not a lot of comments. To me that means one of two things: - Few people have actually tried the new BIOS - many are just waiting for others to 'break the ice', or..
- The BIOS is solid for most, thus no news = good news.
I wonder which it is though..

I won't update to newer until I know its time tested...at least a few weeks. That's just me though. Hell, I still swear by XP, windows 7 looks like its getting better...but I'd rather have an operating system that I know works flawless with essentally all software on the market. I'll give it about a year before I consider using windows 7 which gives software companies time for compatability and stability.
