Just got a pop-up about the 300 series beta drivers from nvidia. Release notes still do not say anything about the gpu shutting down / halting / crashing when DPMS activates sleep on display. Has anyone made mention of this on the NV forums?

I currently don't have a GPU available to test with, but found the issue may be resolved but a new issue on the 803x WUs may stem from the 301.24 beta drivers.

the date is november 24th 2012... i had to uninstal the 310.XX driver and install the 306.XX driver when i started playing blackops2. i was having problems with choppiness/FPS, this fixed the problem I was having, as well with a buddy of mine with a 460.

I haven't had any problems with power saving mode for quite a while.

Computer is still unusable when GPU folding (choppy/lag) no matter what I do.

    Currently in 306.97

Strange how this effect (choppy/lag) some computers but not others.
I have a P55 that is this way where all the rest seem to be fine not matter the driver.
Plus sometime its just the WU its self that causes this problem.
Laptop running a P8054 at the moment great, but the last 8018 was making it sluggest
when doing normal thing, so its now always the drivers fault.

When in doubt, always blame the driver
