Please read what I posted below and its only a video card,some people seem to take offense .OH and its a 5.0Ghz 2600k no bottleneck as far as I can see.

680GTX+450 for Physx
Pros=faster then 580SLI 3gb No AA
Cons=not all games work for me with 680GTX+450Physx
        one 680 card twice as loud as 580 GTX SLI 3GB
680 single card is faster then my 580SLI 3gb with no AA applied.
Need to do a format of windows to get all my games to work.For now waiting on my second 680GTX.

There is nothing special about the 2.5gb versions of the GTX 570 that makes it any faster than the 1280mb version. Only benefit obviously would be extremely high resolutions with lots of AA and AF and then the extra memory would come into play.
 
Now with that said my friend with SLI 2.5gb's 570's scores lower in the Heaven 3.0 benchmark than my GTX 680 at the same settings. Also a few games such as BF3, Crysis 2, Witcher 2, and "modded skyrim" either run just as good on my single 680 as his 2 570's or my single 680 edges his cards out in certain scenarios with these games.
 
Keep in mind as well that driver improvments are coming for the 680 while the 570's and 580's are pretty much tapped out.

Metro Physx runs off CPU but I did some benchmarks for fun. 5 passes showing 3 & 4 Runs.
 
680 is about the same in this game as a 580 card here's hoping new drivers unlock the beast

Gerald, we went over this on Guru3D. You're running a dedicated PhysX card with the 680. Your title is misleading. Also, unless you set PhysX to CPU in the Nvidia control panel, the PhysX runs on the GPU for Metro 2033
 
Here's SLI 580's with a dedicated PhysX GPU. 1920x1080 all in game settings maxed. It's obvious how much a dedicated PhysX card helps.
 

 
 
 
 

So whats does 2 680s SLI with a 450 PhysX do (can anyone test that?)? Wondering If I should throw my 450 in the mix as a PhysX. You know once the FTWs come out and all.

Disclamier these runs were done with cores parked giving higher FPS
After running alot of test 680+450 is close to 680+680 Physx,due to me changing settings in between cards (parking cores)
Parking cores gave me higher FPS in some games and higher mins also. Also lower at times too.
 
680SLI is great also.
