Has anyone encountered problems resuming from S3 sleep?

Since putting the GTX 680 in (and taking the 480s out) my computer doesn't come out of S3 sleep anymore. It wakes up, and immediately reboots itself.

This is on a E759 motherboard and Core i7 920. Everything worked perfect with the 480s. I don't think it's the driver, because I had the 301.10 installed on the 480s with a modded inf and it worked fine.

Any clues?

Bump, problem is reproducible on friends system with the exact same motherboard/GPU/OS/driver (E759/GTX680/Win7 SP1/301.10)

EVGA can you please look into this and see where the problem lies. Not being able to use sleep is a huge burden.

    Interesting find jgiorla,

I'm using an E758, latest BIOS, and a GTX680, and I'm also having the same issues resuming from S3 Sleep.

I'll forward this to EVGA support

Seems to be an nvidia problem as others are posting on their forums with the issue...

If anyone from evga is looking at this, I put my 570 HD/SC back in today.  For grins I left the 301.10 drivers installed.  The system worked fine with the older card.  S3 sleep and wake up also worked so it appears to be something with our cards.

Sleep has never worked correctly since switching to Nvidia in the 200 series... for me anyway. Maybe it is my x58 motherboard though. I have just got in the habit of completely shutting down and rebooting. Logging off and back on messes things up as well, but I think this is a Windows issue.

I've had sleep problems on other machines along the way, but it worked perfectly in the system I'm running now using a 460, sli-460s, and a 570.  The only thing that has changed is the 680 -  as mentioned above I even used the 680 drivers with the 570 and it worked.

For some reason there's just no video out of my card when the system - including the gtx 680's fan - spins back up.

    I've always had S1&S3.

Would it be better to just do S3 by itself?
I know S1 by itself is not enough.

I tried both S1 and S1&S3, same effect.

I reflashed BIOS 83 just in case, set system to stock clocks.  I even tried swapping between an i7 920 and 950, and removed all other PCI/PCIE devices, no difference there.

Resuming from sleep still causes a reboot before any image appears on screen, and after POST I land at the black-and-white 'unexpected shutdown' boot selection.

I'm going to try playing with some Power Management options in the Control Panel, see if the issue lies there...

I had this problem when I was running 2x 560 and using the latest driver.  I even disabled sleep because of the problem.  I have not experienced it yet with the 2x 680s and latest driver, so I plan to enable sleep again.

I do not know if this is related in any way but there is a known problem with S3 sleep after installing Win 7 SP1. Sleep worked fine for me until I installed SP1.  Then it would not work..  Same thing Comp. turns on, no screen, just black.  Uninstalled SP1 and it was fine.
    Tried everything with no luck.
This sounds like the same symptoms but perhaps a different cause.

    Let me look into this.

I know you guys are busy getting cards out, but wondered if you've had any luck looking into this yet?

Also for the mods, there are two similar threads you may want to combine (if possible).  The other is http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=1522164

301.24 Beta drivers came out yesterday, does the reboot issue still happen on those drivers?

Can't test myself as 680 is still on pre-order, I'm concerned I'd get the same S3 sleep issue as I use it when going to bed :(

    No luck with beta.

I was super excited for this to be addressed but same problem, on wake up video simply does not trigger :(

I don't plan to try the beta drivers as I was able to properly sleep and resume a 570 HD with the 680 drivers.  I have one other Win7 machine with a PCI-E slot but I can't fit this card in the case to test it.

I've ordered a 680 SC+ from Amazon that I'll test if it ever ships :P

No.  A few of us have posted here so far.  Haven't determined the cause yet.
