My MoBo came with a USB3.0 box that fits in a 3.5" bay, however the cable is too short for my case. Anyone know where I can get a USB3.0 extension cable with male-female header connectors?

Thanks, but it doesn't have an "A" plug, it's the 16pin (I think) MoBo header connector.

Well I probably should have asked what motherboard it was originally. Usually the USB pin headers on the motherboard fit with the systems front panel connectors without issues. What you are looking for is a 19 pin male to female extension cable for the USB 3.0 device. From what I remember that doesn't exist though you can take some existing USB 3.0 cables and make your own if you have the time and patience. Other than that you would have to contact ASUS directly to see if they have a recommended part available.

It's trying to be matched up with the box that comes with the motherboard. I don't think that will hook up unless he pulls the innards out of the box and puts extension USB 3.0 male/female into that, which might work depending on what's inside the box at the end. Lian Li makes an adapter. You'll have to find of length USB 3.0 cables to suit your length requirements but this is a direct replacement for that box which came with your motherboard. Just take whatever is inside the box and replace the connections with the cables you need for length and connect this adapter to your motherboard. Had to do a bit of searching but I finally found one which may work for you. Lian Li 20pin USB3.0 to Dual Female Adapter

i think i found what the original poster was hoping for: as it will not let me post the link on ebay search for: 20inch USB 3.0 Motherboard 20-Pin Header M/F Round Extension Cable, USB3-2020 by cablesonline.net haven't made sure but take a look.
