Well, not technically, but I know there are some programs that use my 470's quite well.  Question is, my 7970 will be here tomorrow.  Are most of the programs designed for Nvidia (cuda) or will I be able to put this 7970 to good use?

I know for sure PrimeGrid has one AMD GPU application....  I would just look around on some of the gpu capable ones and see if they have any issues with your gpu....  I'm pretty sure the mobile amd gpu one of my laptops has can't crunch, so I only know nVidia....

Johnny_Utah, I know as a matter of fact that Collatz Conjecture project loves your AMD Graphic Card (GC) as I've witnessed work units that had been crunched faster by at least 15% than my NVidia GTX580. Our team certainly needs more people to join this project.

Milkway@Home works if you use the OpenCL application. Milkyway can perform as much as three times faster on a 7970 compared to the GTX 580 due to use of double precision calculations.

From the looks of it, our "EVGA DC Strike Team" will surely hit at least 2 projects simultaneously ...1 cpu task and 1 gpu task. I'm pretty sure the gpu task will be Collatz Conjecture. So, the procedure to crunch it is as follow;-

    1. Create an account at Collatz Conjecture.
    2. Join our team.
    3. Left-click "Add project or account manager..." under Tools in BOINC Manager v6.12.34 and then, left-click "Next >" button.
    4. Select "Collatz Conjecture" with your mouse from the "Choose a project" window panel and then, left-click "Next >" button.
    5. Just fill up your email address and choose & confirm your password on the "Identify your account" window panel and then, left-click "Next >" button.
    6. Finally, left-click "Finish" button.

My hope is that both of your graphic cards will be assigned tasks. If not, please ask for help here.

POEM, Collatz and Milkyway are  compatible between them so you can crunch at the same time in all of them
