To be perfectly clear. I only consider myself a member of this team that happens to be one of the many founding member's of this crunching monster we are about to release on the World.
 
As this was all getting started I created the WCG log in. And as such my name is listed as the Captain of the WCG Roster. I am happy to have someone be that Captain. A simple click of the mouse makes that happen
 
With that all said. I believe that there needs to be no less than two Captains possibly three, in order to be successful with all the DC Projects, websites and log ins we will have to deal with. As we are now one team looking to be in as many projects as we can. We now know that they request one to two points of contact for all of the different projects available to us all.
 
To many Chiefs in history of Man Kind has proven fatal. As fatal as no Chiefs.
 
My proposal....
 
For now let's have the max amount of Captains set at three. Two main, one backup.
 
These Captains will be responsible for getting registered with all of the sites under the single new Team name. They will be the point(s) of contact for all communication to those sites when direct communication to the Administrators of those said sites are needed.
 
These Captains represent all of us and must maintain the responsibility and weight that comes with.
 
These Captains need to be members from our Folding group and or our Crunching group as we are all on the same team.
 
I do not want to get into any more of it as all of us here now understand the importance of our Captains.
 
Who would like to volunteer and who do we think we would like to have represent team tobevoted@EVGA?

I nominate Punchy, he has a ton of experience and has proven to be a leader in these forums.

I wouldn't mind doing it, although I think it should be noted I'm currently in Japan so I'm between 14 and 17 hours ahead of most of the team, I'm sure....  It doesn't mean I can't do it, but I think with the time difference, I would probably be better as the back-up, unless it is decided time differences don't make much of a difference.

Well from the PM's I have... And the posts in here I think we are in good shape. Great group of folks being suggested. Because we are small so far it is not surprising that we have only a handful of suggested folks. Frankly by the numbers it looks like 10% of the team volunteered

Just an FYI or FWIW... With me being a Moderator my time may be limited more than others as I do own a business and help my Disabled wife. So what time I do have is always sporadic.

That said I would have no problem helping getting this off the ground. So I was thinking... Why not have (In no particular order) RH and Linux be the Captains to start off and have myself and Punchy as the Co-Captains? Then once the dust settles I can go quietly into the sunset...

 
I see no issues with that, but my time will be limited through the weekend.  I have a Calculus 3 Midterm and a Linear Algebra final and a paper on linear algebra to finish by Sunday night....  Other than that, I should be available and around to handle things that are needed....

I have the next few days off from work so will have some free time to do things.
