Hello. I am overclocking my 580GTX SC and I think my core would do about 900 MHz safely at 1.1v.
But I think i might back it down a bit to about 875MHz for true stability.

Anyway, I was wondering what the typical memory overclock speed would be.
I just kept pushing the slider all the way to almost the end of the EVGA Precision bar, and it finally crashed at 2570 mhz.
But it appears that the memory is perfectably stable at speeds over 2400 mhz.

I did a quick check for some overclocks but I see mostly 2100 - 2200 mhz on the memory.

Please note these are the Double-rate as reported in evga precision.

I am therefore wondering if it is Unsafe to overclock the memory beyond such speeds?
Or is it that overclocking the memory, already at such high speeds of over 200 GB/s is not really a factor to consider?

 This is the 1.5GB version.

Please inform.

Just go up in like 20MHz steps and test each time looking for artifacts, Heaven 2.1 shows them up pretty easy if it's unstable.
Also the gains of overclocking the Vram over the core are no where near as beneficial.
