My problem is that the BIOS won't let me change the multiplier up or down.  I have no problems changing any other setting, but when I select multiplier, I've tried enter, new numbers, anything.  But it won't change.  I'm guessing I'm missing something simple.  Any suggestions?

I'm already OC at 167x22, but wanted to try a FB of 200 with a lower multiplier.

    Let us know what your BIOS number is.  You can find your BIOS ver. by going into BIOS under Standard (1st selection).  Near the top will be a series of numbers which will end in (something like) A62, or A70, etc.  The Axx is you BIOS number.  You need to be A71 or Higher.  I am running with the A72.  The BIOS can be found under www.evga.com and support

    The BIOS is 08.00.16 with a build date of 5/6/10.  The strange thing is that the computer came with a preset overclock of 4000 (200 x 20 multiplier).  It won't work with my system because it was set for 4 Gigs memory and I have 8.  BUT when I load that build, I can't change the multiplier from 20.  I keep thinking it's something simple.

    your bios is not up to date.
    Please update to A72 from 09/23/10.
    After that, you should be able to change the multiplier..

    and btw. it's better to clock over multi AND blck, when using the 875k.
    160x27 or something like that..

    dozer3000 is correct the date is 9/23/10.  BTW my BIOS located as I said above is "1E657A72" with the 9/23/10 date and it says 08.00.16 so I have some idea what that 08xxxx is about.  I have a E657 mobo (P55 FTW) and the switch is in position 1.   I suspect the 08.00.16 is the AMI version code and the "1E657A72" is the EVGA specific version adapted for each motherboard with that board's features.

    I increase the CPU multiplier in the BIOS to no avail. In the BIOS and the post it shows the changes.   Run E-LEET TUNING UTILITY in windows and it is never higher than 22. I am running an Intel i7 875K on an EVGA P55 Classified 200 board. Are the restrictions in the board that is causing this problem? I have upgraded the BIOS to A72. Can any one help…

    on the k chips turbo mode and speedstep must be enabled for the multi change to take affect in windows also on my k chip if i turned on turbo and speedstep than upped my bclck it would turn turbo and speedstep off so I found it best to set your bclk than your multi than go and make sure speedstep and turbo are still enabled if not enable them save and exit and you should be set

    e-money is right...
    it should looking like this:

    Speedstep = enabled
    TurboMode = enabled
    Core Ratio = set to 0/0/0/0
    C1E = disabled (if not, the vcore is bumping to a dangerous value)
    C-States = enabled / or disabled (makes no real difference)
    K-BOOST = disabled
    Multi = f.E. 30

    Did what e-money suggested and dozer3000's settings and everything works as advertised. Can't thank the both of you enough..
