Hi pplz!
i flashed to bios 77 after losing sticks ram (ended up with 2gb in windows after mild oc). But after using the usb flashdrive method i only can get it stable on stock settings, or else i get a boot-loop right before loading windows (after selecting win7 in dualboot.)  Not a great start for my first EVGA experience... I switched from a Gigabyte EX58 extreme to a e760 Classie because of high vdroop of the GiBy. Had high hopes for this one...

other specs:

i7 950 1,23vid (4,2Ghz @ 1,35v LLC on previous bios 8h prime but only 2gb ram?!)
6 gb corsair xms 1600 c9 (capable of 1740Mhz - 9-9-9-24-2t tested piece by piece after problems... are ok)
2x Asus gtx470 @ 780/1560/1800 @ 1,083v
CM silent pro 1000w
Corsair H50
raid 2x seagate st3100 1tb
1x veloraptor 150gb boot
win7 ultimate x64

Things i tried to resolve the memory issue with previous bios:

CPU vtt up to 1,42v e-leet
TWR function +2
remount cpu cooler and cpu
remount memory.

It looks like this board is becomming "eleanor" (yes, after the wild ride,  Gone in 60 sec ) someone there to give me a proper advice what to do next? seems i can't register this board for support because i bought it as a used one? I feel like i'm out of options and sell the board again, but i'd rather solve the problem. Thnx in advance for your time

most likely could be you need to Set your DRAM Ratio in the BIOS. This would be for MCH strap option.

Edit: I didn't uninstall e-leet before biosflash, could that cause all my problems afterwards?
Edit 2: Solved!!!! Did a reflash, Left rams settings @ auto, MCH strap-> auto, timings @ 9-9-9-24-88 t2 and a boot @ 21x200, prime stable for 1h and counting.. with 6gb mem. Think MCH strap was the problem, wel.... When i left my memtimings @ auto with low bclk (165 max), it detected right settings-> 9-9-9, but when bclk hits above 170 the timing automatic went down to 8-8-8. Had to set the timings fixed as above and finaly got a boot... Felt like a childbirth, long and heavy, but a nice result non the less :) (sorry for my english btw, im a dutch bloke, so my grammar sux more than al little)

Some specs i filled in double, tried both! Thnx for the help

these are some settings I would give a shot at getting 4.2Ghz stable with your memory at its rated 1600mhz. Manually set your timings to manufacturer spec and it should be good. the other options below the timings leave to AUTO and they will be fine.

    Frequency Control
    CPU Clock Ratio ( 23X/21x )   <-- 21X
    CPU Host Frequency (Mhz) ( 180/200 )  <-- 201
    MCH Strap ( 1600/auto )  <-- DRAM Ratio or 1600 which everworks
    CPU Uncore Frequency (Mhz) ( auto )  <-- 16x
    CPU Clock Skew ( 0 ps )
    Spread Spectrum ( Disabled
PCIE Frequency (Mhz) ( 105 )  <-- 100mhz this can cause many issues with SSD and PCIE cards above 100mhz

    Memory Feature
    Memory Speed ( normal )
Memory Control Setting ( Enabled )
    Memory Frequency ( auto 1600 )  <-- 2:8
Channel Interleave Setting ( 6 Way
Rank Interleave Setting ( 4 Way
Memory Low Gap ( Auto )
    tCL Setting ( 9
    tRCD Setting ( 9

    DIMM Voltage ( 1.65 )
    DIMM DQ Vref ( +0mV
    QPI PLL VCore ( 1.3 )  <-- 1.40
    IOH VCore ( auto )  <-- 1.40
    IOH/ICH I/O Voltage ( Auto )   <-- 1.50
    **VTT PWM Frequency ( 250 KHZ )
    **CPU PWM Frequency ( 800 KHZ )
**CPU Impedance ( auto)   <-- Less
**QPI Signal Compensation ( More )   <-- Less

I finally located the problem! Somehow my ram (TR3X6G1600c9) is not supported. With ocz memory tested and the problems were gone. Even tested with a 920 and my ram and the problems stayed, so i think i need a new set of ram. Its weird cause my corsairs worked fine with the Gigabyte mobo @ 1740Mhz. Well, im glad it's not the classie, i'll post new results when new ram is here.

    Thnx 4 the support peepz!
