Hey I dont know what section to ask this in so I figured ill just ask it here. I just got a razer naga and was wondering if there was any way to program the buttons to do autocad commands. I have a test tomm morning and the only hard part is doing it in the assigned time so I figured if I can have the most common commands mapped to my mouse I could finish the drawings just a tad bit faster would make a huge difference. Thanks in advance

Thank you sbb for replying. I found out once I plugged the naga in I can just make macros and its quite simple in the program.

Does anyone know if the macros are saved to the mouse or do I have to do something else to make sure they comes w me to another computer?

As per the Razer Mamba help file (but the same for your Razer):

"In the Manage Macros tab, you can record macros of up to 500 keystrokes (dependent on length of delays). These macros can also be imported and exported onto your hard disk for future usage."

I believe only the performance settings are kept on the mouse (up to five profiles) using Razer Synapse.

"With Razer Synapse, you can save up to five profiles on your Razer Mamba™. If you require more profiles and do not wish to delete the existing profiles, simply export the existing profiles to your hard disk and import them back as and when needed."
-copied from my Mamba's help file.

You're welcome, Great_Shovel.

If you open up the system tray icon for your Razer (the black orb with the green Razer logo inside it), and click on the fourth tab "Manage Macros", you have the option to use macros the following ways -
  • New
  • Import
  • Export
  • Save
  • Delete
Clicking Export will open up a dialog box where you can save a file with the MXM filetype.  You can name it and save it where you desire then copy it to a flash drive for example and bring it to another computer.  Using the same tab, click Import and select the MXM file you saved on the flash drive.

Hope this helps.  Cheers.

By far the best is Autohotkey:
http://www.autohotkey.com/

It can map keyboard strokes and mouse movements and clicks.  It has a pretty powerful simple scripting language to write your own macros.  You could then launch these macros from a single click of your mouse or button press on your keyboard.
