I have read many posts in the past about people not being able to get their 780i stable with 8Gb of Ram. I have been running my 780i with the Corsair 8GB of ram (Model # in my sig) stable for a long time now. No issues. I felt if I showed you many of my Bios settings that I use, you could do the same. I have got to the point that I feel I'm the only one who has it stable, after reading those posts about people having trouble. Before I show you the settings I need to type the following disclaimer:>

*I can't guarantee that my config settings will work for everyone, and that this thread is just a guide on what to adjust and how to adjust it, the way I have.

Now here's the settings:>
Sli Ready Memory- (CPUOC Max) (Enabled)
FSB Memory Clock Mode- (Unlinked)
FSB Memory Ratio- (Auto)
FSB QDR- (1333.3)
Memory DDR Mhz- (1066.7)
Memory Timing Setting- (EXPERT)
Timings for my particular ram: (5-5-5-15-2T)
TRRD-(auto 4)
TRC- ((Auto 22) Current Value (31)
TWR- (Auto 6)
TWTR- (Auto 10)
TREF- (Auto)
RRFC- (Auto)

* If there are any other settings in the Bios that you still need to know, that were not mentioned, after trying these and your still not stable, then feel free to post back, and I will gladly give those setting(s) to you. I hope this thread helps you.

Thank you Tweaked for the BR. I also want everyone to see that in the first pic it shows Sli Ready Memory is detected using 8Gb of ram. I believe some people didn't believe that. Here's the proof that it's true. Love to hear peoples responses to this thread, whether you own a 780i or not. I hope this helped some people.

    Congratz on the BR, XrayMan!!

I'm glad that the memorys' SLI Feature stayed Enabled for you with 4 sticks installed. That must be a 780i MoBo "thing"...for I understand that it will get disabled on a 790i board. Thankx for posting this.

Hi, you posted on my thread about the 750i with 8GB Corsair Dominator Memory. I followed your insructions and after that my Windows stoped to boot, it keep rebooting it self all the time, it shows the "Launch Startup Repair" and "Start Windows Normally" but any of those options work, the repair option shows a error on loading files and the normally boot starts and reboot againg. My motherboard is a 750i FTW 175 and I running 4x2GB rows DDR2 Corsair Dominator.

Go into the Bios and choose the "Default" option, and then press F10 to save settings. Go back to the Bios and try the settings again. If it doesn't work again, then your board can't handle those higher settings, and you will probably have to go back to the 800mhz setting.

I restore the defaults values and set the memory configuration to UNLINKED but let the values untouched, processor = 1066mhz and memory = 800mhz. Then I set the timing to 5-5-5-15 2T and voltage to: 1-) memory = 2.100V SPP = 1.400V. It appear to be ok, I running the MenTest86+ v2.11 right now to test the memory, it's running for about 8 hours and testing... Pass 4 with no errors, after that I'll install Windows again... Hope to work ok, with no BSOD.
