(Edited out for language #1) is wrong with this thing, ive been getting massive issues since i ran a driver sweeper.  Ive tried uninstalling drivers and reinstalling, but windows KEEPS INSTALLING THE DRIVERS I WANTED REMOVED.  I uninstall the drivers in device manager, scan for changes and it gets reinstalled.  Ive tried all drivers for this thing literally all dirvers and none of them help.  My main issue is farcry 2 it stutters and fps drops like crazy.  I set a limiter and v sinc to 75 on my 144 hz display and it helps a ton, however 75 hz feels alot un smooth compared to 144.  I remember when i built my rig it ran fine with 8 aa and 720p and ultra.  Now its on 1080p and no aa and its horrible.  Should i reformat? Im thinking of just getting a titan and endign this crap its horrible.

Set windows to "check for updates but let me choose wether to install them", you should have an "action center" icon in the bottom right corner of the screen to get to windows update settings.

Its set to that and it does it anyway.  I also went to driver manager and set it to NEVER INSTALL DRIVER FROM WINDOWS UPDATE, i click scan hadrware changes and on the bottom it says installing new hardware, and its a random driver in my download folder.  I actually went into safe mode and it still did it, i kept restarting computer and it stopped.  I know have latest driver and all ym games fps drop, bioshock infinite, farcry 2 will rapidly change fps and stutter HOIRBBLY.  V sinc is on and the fps goes past the setting.  Im just going to reformat this (Edited out for language #3) and buy a new motherboard and a 7970.  Only problem is i spent all my money on this monitor i just bought.

Whats weird is that i ran bioshock infinite on 1080p before i bought this monitor and it got over 140 fps, then i changed around my drivers and today bought a new monitor and now i get around 50.  Such a stupid computer, no reason it ran fine 4 months ago and some (Edited out for language #4) happend and this crap.  IF buying a 7970, new motherboard, and reformat doesnt fix this unplayable (Edited out for language #5), im throwing my pc out the window and getting a ps4

You probably did not hit OK after the Windows update change...
And you should -never- use device manager

You need to head on over to my Nvidia driver guide

for some reason with my dvi i cable black colors look off.  The settings are the same with that and hdmi and when im in the shadows my gun looks black, with dvi cable the black shadow has color and looks pixelated.   Man enjoying pc gaming,s pend more time tweaking instead of playing

ok this is pissing me off, the main reason i bought a 144 HZ MONITOR IS FOR 144 HZ.  WHY DO I HAVE TO USE HDM,I CABLE FOR THE CORRECT COLOR?? maybe my dvi is broken but black doesnt look anything of black, it looks distoreted and blue.  So heres my issues, stuttering (Edited out for language #6)ty lag and fps drop, and now i get blue black (Edited out for language #7)ing color.  Im (Edited out for language #8)ing selling my whole setup now no more of this crap in my life.  Time to focus on school instead of trying to fix my pc from all this (Edited out for language #9), and when i have free time ill play a little of ps3.  This is just horrible.  Nvidia, asus, intel, evga screw you guys everything is broken and (Edited out for language #10)ty. Good hardware, new monitor, and everything is WRONG

You cant even install or remove drivers properly and you blame all the vendors. Your attitude also stinks. If you expect help from any more people. Good luck on that. Also seems like you are extremely short tempered if things do not go exactly your way when working with a pc. Stick to consoles. Plug and go.

Buy a DVI-D (dual link cable)
    *they are cheapest online

Then spend some time reading up on what your bought.
There is no use yelling about your problems as thats not going to resolve your issues.

Of course Windows is going to install a "standard VGA adaptor" driver... because you improperly used device manager.
You do NOT uninstall Nvidia drivers, you use Custom mode and Clean install and the Nvidia software will uninstall your previous driver and put in the new one....

Look how simple it is--> http://forums.evga.com/fb.ashx?m=1776353

No i mean when i go to my control panel and delete the drivers, then i delete the reg files with nvidia, and clear out windows update download folder, it doesnt install the standard adapter, it installs an nvidia driver becuase it says 310.70  its random which driver it installs, i think it goes in my download folder and installs them.  I can show you a video next time i reinstall my drivers.  I got it to stop doing it by restarrting my computer many times.  But it installs nvidia driver after its selected to not do that.   And clean install erases your nvidia control panel settings.  I think i have a fault card becuase im getting weird colors too.  Like in crysis fog looks blue and green and i see giant pixels.  can i rma this card even though i rebated it?  I still have the rebate money they sent me.
Can diplay port 1.2 use 120hz? and can it also hook up to my existing display port jack?

You shouldn't be manually deleting reg files and system folders.
And for heaven's sake, stop using a drive sweeper program.
Like Maniac suggested, do a clean uninstall/install with the Nvidia driver .exe package.

    Your NOT listening
You are attempting to use methods which are completely outdated and NO LONGER WORK because of changes to the Windows OS and the Nvidia driver installer packaging.

Given your posts, you have damaged your Nvidia driver install
You do NOT uninstall your drivers, ever use device manager, use safe mode, Delete Nvidia folders or EVER run registry cleaners. Doing -any- of those will cause you serious problems.
Thats exactly what you are reporting.
I am trying to help you recover, but its NOT going to happen unless you follow the -correct- procedure.

120hz is ONLY supported by the correct DVI-D (dual link) cable without adaptors
or a Display port connection (again without adaptors). A DVI-I is not going to work correctly....

Just what OS version are you using?
Are you logging into the primary Admin account? using a password?

    THIS--> http://forums.evga.com/fb.ashx?m=1174372
Is the OLD way of doing things.... it does NOT work that way anymore.

    THIS--> http://forums.evga.com/fb.ashx?m=1776353
Is the new procedure and is the ONLY thing thats going to work

Ive tried the clean install and custom mode, still stuttering.  I think theres something wrong with my card.  You cant blame me for loosing my temper when i have 2 issues at once.

But to get this striaght,  a display port can run 1920 X 1080p @ 144hz?  For some reason theres artifacting colors with my dvi d and hdmi runs fine.  I use the dvi d at 60 hz aswell and still problems.

Is it possible to rma a card that i rebated?

Its highly doubtful there is anything wrong with the card at all

How about you post your complete and detailed hardware specs and what OS version you are using.

Lets look it over and try and get you you to ground zero (without mistakes) and then it will be a simple matter to determine your videocards performance status.

Ok im using windows 7 64 bit

    Intel i5 3570k
gtx 660ti sc 3gb from evga
and an asrock b75m (not z77 chip)

I built it in janruary when i was using the 310.90 update and no stutter or fps drop.  Bf3 did a little bit but nto far cry 2.  Now im using the 310.90 update and getting horrible frame rates.  It could be that im now using full 1080p instead of 1360 X 768 like i first did.  I notice farcry 2 doesnt stutter a bit with 4 aa and 1400 900.  Maybe i need a titan

    What powersupply are you using?
What is the make/model number of your monitor?
Are you using any monitoring/fan control software like Precision or Afterburner?

You should NOT be using 310.90

Is the info on how to get 320.00 and get Windows update setup correctly
Try a Custom Mode install (exactly as noted in my guide) with all Nvidia components UNCHECKED except for PhysX -AND- "perform a Clean install" checked.

Do NOT uninstall anything, just make SURE if you have Precision or Afterburner installed, that you first SHUTDOWN the program, and then uninstall it (you MUST answer -NO- when asked to save profiles and data) and then after the uninstall is complete, reboot ONCE -before- attempting your 320.00 install
*NOTE: if you are using the newer versions of Precision or Afterburner AND have installed the secondary RTSS package, that MUST be completely uninstalled FIRST, before uninstalling Precision/Afterburner oor installing your new Nvidia driver. Again after the RTSS is uninstalled, you MUST reboot once before continuing

Have you ever had -or do you- have Precision or Afterburner installed on the system?

Please answer the question about Precision or Afterburner
*Its important, because you have performed actions that would corrupt those programs and cause serious problems.
One such KNOWN issue, is that the program (Precision/Afterburner) cannot be shutdown and will restart itself (without you knowing) and cause exactly the problems you are having. Changing drivers wont help at all as the corruption will be auto injected into any driver you install

Also you DO NOT run screen resolutions below your monitors "native" 1920x1080
*running 800x600 will completely CPU bottleneck your videocard and any testing done at that res is meaningless

Nope It's not dumb, maniacc is right

lowering the resolution of a computer game or software program increases the effect on a CPU. As the resolution decreases, less strain is placed on the graphics card because there are fewer pixels to render, but the strain is then transferred to the CPU. At a lower resolution, the frames per second are limited to the CPU's speed.

CPU sets the frame up + handles all the AI/resource allocation and then passes the parameters to the GPU which then draws the frame. So the CPU does its thing sends the frame along to the GPU. The larger the frame and the more processing required the longer it takes for the GPU to finish. At low resolutions the frames are drawn much much faster therefore the CPU has to do alot more work setting up more frames.

Well since you cant answer my question about Precision or Afterburner...

I suggest you call EVGA's 24/7 free technical support line.

    Good luck to you
