RiChess Pffft mostly registered-just-for-contest-dudes. Frustrating huh. EVGA should really have something like a 50-post minimum.. but (and I might be wrong saying this), by making entry contingent on some other action, there may be tax implications as a reult, whereas if the entries don't require anything but filing out an entry form, then those tax implications do not exist.. besides, all that would probably end up doing is filling these boards with spammy useless posts in order to hit a 50 post minimum, so perhaps not such a good idea after all... p.s. that girl in your avatar pic is *stunning*.. ..almost as hot as my other half ..not kidding either. I have no idea what she sees in me, but I'm not going to question it.

Here's my 640GB WD Caviar Green drive: And here's my new Kingston 64GB V Series SSD: Also keep in mind that I received a now 1st Gen drive (SNV125-S2/64GB), and there is now a newer generation (SNV425-S2/64GB) supporting TRIM and also having double the read speeds Great drive, if anyone is here on the edge about picking one of these up, don't hesitate.

RiChess Pffft mostly registered-just-for-contest-dudes. I think it should be a double qualifier, 1 year registered and 100 post. All but 1 person had under 25 post, Congrats to to the one ACTIVE member who won, and a couple where just posting to enter the contest. I know evga has it's reasons and i don't want to sound like a cry baby, but come on give the active members a little bit better chance here.

I agree. I don't mean to sound like a sore loser or anything, but, us active members should have a greater chance to win rather than register-for-contests-and-never-post-againers.

Ah. Yeah they do. I seem to recall another contest where a few of said one-time-posters won, and a few loyal forum members (and customers, may I add) complained. We got the same response.... I'm seeing a pattern, and it's disappointing. I could care less if I won, I'd just like to see more active posters and folders win upcoming contests. My $.02. Not that anyone will listen though. :D

Kind of like free after rebate crap that some stores used to run, get you in for the free stuff and a percentage would spend extra cash on other things. I did not expect the web master to chime in the way he did, would thought a more mature professional reply would come from him. guess not. But that's OK because in the end it's my cabbage that can be spent elsewhere if i choose

But that's OK because in the end it's my cabbage that can be spent elsewhere if i choose Oh, yeah, I know exactly why they do promotions like this, and there is no harm in it. It's just kinda surprising that EVGA's only intentions (it seems) are getting new customers rather than holding current customers. Anyways, how he replied did surprise me. But just like you said, I can always buy some XFX cards and get the double warranty if I'd like.

Ok first of all it was a joke, lighten up folks. Second of all, the legality of setting up contests is complicated like what you're describing, not to mention unfair. Being a forum member does not equal being an EVGA customer. I would guess 90% of EVGA customers never visit our forums. You are all complaining like you didn't have a chance to win, everyone had the same chance. It's how all of our promotions are, I'm not sure why everyone complains. We have promotions all the time, hang around long enough and you'll win one.
