I've had problems with the vm loosing it's conection sometimes.
When I catch it not sending this is what I do.

    Click on vm window
    alt+f2
    log in
    at the comand prompt
    reeboot (enter)
    after vm reboot login
at the comand prompt you can
    1. ./fah6 send all (enter)
    or
    2. ./fah6 -bigadv -smp 7 (to download and restart folding-and it should try to send at some point)

This is based on using LR's  vm.
    Good luck

Dou have the "loangouste" option enabled in LinuxRouter's VM?

If so, it may in fact be sending, it will just appear to be giving errors.  I'll try to find the link were he explained it to me.

    Edit:
Here is the thread were he explained it to me: http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=105080

by changing out your router, if your VM is trying to get a dynamic IP address, then it won't be able to without your router.

    I see two options:
    If you're using VMWare player:
    1. Change the VM player's network configuration to NAT Mode (Settings menu.. Network) then reboot the client just like you did above
    2. Plug the router back in, and reboot the VM like you did above.
