That wasn't PB kicking you was it, but an Admin.? And thanks, I have always turned settings up cuz I just like the looks, but didn't realize it would make that much of a difference turning them to low, guess I'll have to try it. I Agree about the kill counting before you die. I liked in 2142, you could be laying there watching sometimes before actually dieing, if u got a res, you would even have a heads up on enemies.

I got kicked (possibly banned) by an admin for having a decent K/D I guess. And yes, if you're going to play competitively as I do, low settings are pretty standard.

I myself am on ok ground player.  But since I have done that the most, a fun departure for myself is flying/gunning with the chopper.  

It's an absolute riot, and with the latest changes, the chopper is a harbinger of death with a competent crew.  So needless to say, I only get a good go at it if one of my buddies are on, or I randomly run into someone with half a brain in a server.

Just the other day, I had a gunner that let us get taken out by a UAV!   I pointed him directly at it at least a half dozen times.

IMO, the best combo for the attack choppers are Smoke/Warheads.  The pilot has smoke to clear tracers, and the gunner has Warheads.

Getting hit by a tracer happens often, and its nice to clear them, otherwise a lock is a guaranteed death.  The warheads your gunner has now destroy buildings and bust tanks.  I can't over state how powerful the gunner becomes with the warhead.  

Now some people probably like the tracer/alt fire combo, as that missile pretty much will take out a tank the pilot fires.  But, the flexibility the gunner's warhead gives I think far outweigh that IMO.  It takes 3 bursts to take a fully armored tank, which is pretty easy to do. 

Each volley from the chopper's gun is good for destroying two surfaces on  a building.  And destroying a building .......small buildings require 6 destroyed surfaces, and big buildings require 13-14 destroyed surfaces.

Just some thoughts.

TURN ON COLORBLIND.  It is in the main settings.  Even if you see all colors(like me), it will make your people on your team and squad pop out a lot more.  Check out some of my videos to see the color difference.
