R3P01 The Frozen redesign is no different then the ACX design on the classified, its 2 fans on top of a big ass heat sink. Aesthetic wise will it look better, probably. Honestly I kinda like the look of the ACX design it looks sleek and professional, if it had some chrome effects on it I think it would be one of the best looking fans on the market.
It's not the same. The MSI Lightning will feature 2x 100mm fans where the ACX has 2x 80mm fans. Also heatsink is different compared to the ACX.

When did MSI release any information on the new fan design? Last I saw the only thing they released was the heat dissipator on the bottom, the LN2 bench, and the Lightning picture showing the new cover is black. MSI has not publicly released anything on the specs of the unit or the fan

MvdL79 Rei86 LOL way to be over-dramatic. The only competition for EVGA's Classified is the Lightning. That Galaxy card is just the same as its 680 counterpart. White PCB for the white system build, nothing more. and LOL at that other link. GPU is apparently clocked at 1800mhz but still can't beat the numbers that MSI put up with their own LN2 run of 780 Lightning. And how is it 1 for Galaxy and 0 for EVGA? EVGA actually has the Classified's out in the wild, unlike Galaxy. And I highly doubt the actual retail cards will do anything like their cherry picked demo that their showing around. Apparently you cannot read things correctly? Quote: The core runs at an clock speed of 1006 MHz with a GPU Boost clock of 1058 MHz while the memory operates at the reference 6008 MHz or 6 GHz effective frequency. Where does it say 1800 Mhz? And furthermore; yeah sure it doesn't beat the Lightning, however their overclocked 3dmark score already dates back from over one whole month ago. Back than there were 3dmark scores of the Lightning, let alone Classified. Heck, there were hardly any details available at all about the Lightning. You don't even read the links that you post?

You guys doubting the Classified's seem to be forgetting something crucial. Let's recap: GTX 285 Classified - fastest GTX 285, first and then the only one that could do 4 Way SLI, only one even close was the ASUS MATRIX GTX 285. GTX 580 Classified - Fastest GTX 580 GTX 680 Classified - Only GPU ever to break 2000MHz barrier, easily best GTX 680 Besides, Vince is already pushing 1900MHz as a warmup for some 2GHz+ runs.

Thats a great point except how many of us can afford Liquid Nitrogen? So the fact any card can do 2k Mhz who cares. All the consumer needs to be interested in is what can the card realistically do for me. You probably wont hit 2k on Water but we wont know that until theres a block out for the cards.

MvdL79 Yeah you are right everything runs on 1800 mhz, even the memory and your monitor as well! Wow! Good for you! I suggest you stop before you look like a fool again. You posted http://wccftech.com/galax...ion-gpu/#ixzz2a8ZzAMOy Read it. The PWM supply has its own set of heatsink. Its an incredible design for a PCB which would allow users to gain impressive overclock settings as seen previously when HKEPC overclocked the same GPU to 1900 MHz on core and 7.4 GHz memory clock as seen here. Read more: http://wccftech.com/galaxy-geforce-gtx-780-hof-edition-gpu/#ixzz2aAM2b3HW even if you can't read Chinese you can look at the pictures. Their best run was done at 1800Mhz. And its not a world breaker as Kingpin's Titan holds that spot, with MSI Lightning nipping at the heels. And with Kingpin starting work on 780 Classified, I'm sure that sucker will be right up there with the Lightning once he's done. R3P01 Thats a great point except how many of us can afford Liquid Nitrogen? So the fact any card can do 2k Mhz who cares. All the consumer needs to be interested in is what can the card realistically do for me. You probably wont hit 2k on Water but we wont know that until theres a block out for the cards. Because that's what these cards are made for. The MSI Reps will make no excuses as the Lightning series was made for LN2 overclockers. Just because you and I don't doesn't mean this card wasn't made for that group. The side effect of all this R&D however is that they OC quite well on air and even more so on water.

I own the 285 Classified and 580 Classified ULTRA, and I've had reference versions of those cards as well. Believe me, how a card clocks on cold directly relates to how well it clocks on air.

I understand stuff trickles downhill and it should translate into better OC at colder temps and less voltage overall for those of us on Air or Water. Thing is these are 1 off cards and to me honestly I just prefer to look at the median of it all and go for that. Believe me if I could afford LN2 yeah i would so do it lol just to be like yeah thats me I did that. The cards are made for OC yes I agree, my point was that people seem to be getting all giddy like OMG this is what I could get when realistically they would not be the case as we cant just walk down to 7-11 and get a can of Liquid Nitrogen.

Yeah I won't argue with you on that about sponsored people getting super cherry picked cards. But I bet its hard for them to prove it to us also that it wasn't. Since you know KingPin did state that the Classified he showed off the 1400mhz was just one he picked out of a dozen group at random...but how random was the random group? Skeptics.

Also in regards to communication to your potential customers; wouldn't it be smarter to use (or to prefer) EVGA-forums over Twitter? Or use these forums at least as primary way to communicate? Don't get me wrong, because there is nothing wrong with Twitter, but I think communicating to your users / buyers / customers would be best done through the EVGA-forums, hence the name of the forums... Just my 2 cents. Of course, but Twitter, just like PM's is a direct question. If someone asks me directly, I respond. Same with emails. It is a bit hard to keep up with so many forum posts, especially lately been a bit busy around here.... will try to do so better though.

Seems EVGA is being outrun by the competition. Now I am really looking forward to see what MSI has for us. They claim it will be fastest GTX 780. So far it's 1 - 0 for Galaxy over EVGA. 780 Classified will be back in stock next week, not seeing where any of the other guys have stock :) Plus those scores posted by the other companies LN2 scores already beaten by EVGA Classified... by a big margin Stay tuned.

EVGA_JacobF gtxjackbauer Thanks for responding but can you give us an ETA on the Classified Hydro Copper? End of August? Sept? It slipped due to the 770 Classified waterblock took priority right now. (The blocks are cut on CNC machine so the output is limited) 780 Classified block should be around mid August. Thanks for all the responses Jacob, I know as a service rep here being the face of the company so to speak at some point your like god will these guys ever leave me alone lol. As much as we are persistent when the communication is there we do thank you for it. In regards to the HC blocks will EVGA be selling the 780 Classified blocks separately or will we have to buy the 780 Classy HC in order to get it? As WC is the only way to go right now unless you guys plan to supply me with LN2 =0) I am more interested in obtaining the block for my card as well. If you guys do plan on selling them what kind of a price point can we expect on the blocks? And Jacob as a former service rep myself may I suggest creating stickies on the forums in each corresponding section for an easy update so everyone knows where to go? I know there is only so much your legal department allows you to say before whatever you post must be screened and sent through them, but for getting us the users information instead of 15 different threads on the subject, why not create the thread and lock it so only you guys can post there with the daily updates or w/e.

I don't mind the questions :) Just wish I had more time to answer these days! Anyways, yes the 780 Classified waterblock will be available separately. Price should be similar to that of other blocks from EVGA. One thread may be a good idea. Will look into it!
