First off welcome to the Evga forums!

If a card had that much failure rate, then I doubt they would continue to sell them. Online you will see more complaints than cheers for products. When a person is having trouble with a card they will ask for help. If their card works great, then there's no real need to go online. Unless they just want to say thanks that their card works great or something. You see my logic on why your seeing more complaints? With any product be it a video card, or a vaccuum cleaner. Some will fail! Just need some people who already have the card to come in here, and let you know how their experience has been with the card.

There is nothing wrong with the FTW card.  You can't take what you read on messageboards that seriously because most of the people that have no problems do not post.  Meanwhile, most of those with problems do post.

I just ordered a 670 ftw with confidence. I once had a compatability issue between an evga product and a product from another company. The fault was with the other companies hardware, yet evga was MUCH more helpful in resolving the issue. They're support was top notch. If anything goes wrong with any of my future hardware purchases, I pray that it's an evga product.

Yea EVGA has a great tech support, and a great warranty. I would have honestly have bought myself a 670FTW if I would of had the money but, sadly, I needed a monitor more then I needed that 10%~ performance that the 670 gets over the 660Ti. Although I don't regret getting my 660Ti one bit, it runs awesome!

    My Laptop (GT70 Dominator Pro):
    -Intel I7 4810MQ @ 2.8ghz .
    -12GB RAM.
    -GTX 880M..
    -1x Samsung 840 EVO 500GB.
    -1X 1TB 7200 spinny drive.

I've had my 670 FTW for a month now with no problems and it gets great temps.  Had to upgrade to the 670 since I needed more VRAM when I got my new 2560x1440 monitor.  My 570 was having trouble with BF3 at that resolution on Ultra, but my 670 FTW is getting 60+ fps now. Very pleased with my purchase.

I'm using the 670, Works like a charm... Handles any game on max no problem (1920x1080)

The only problem and I've said this a bunch of times are the latest drivers (Unless they fixed it, Which I doubt it) which is what causes the stuttering and other problems. All you need to do is install the beta drivers and you're set.

Buy it, You won't regret it.

I had mine since 8-20-2012. I did get that dreaded RSOD once. I just unplugged the div cable and it went back to normal. I didn't bother to flash my bios as it was the latest. It runs alot cooler then my previous 570GTX Classified.

Don't worry about the reviews, as you will see alot of negative reviews and most people that don't have any issues like me, don't bother to post any reviews. I could add my own review, but there's nothing to add besides what others have posted.

I have the same card myself and it was definitely worth the purchase. It overclocks almost as fast as the 680. And it also helps pwning noobs in BF3 on Ultra settings, like butter.

I would just buy the 670 sc and overclock it to ftw speeds. Ftw is usually at or near its max oc. My 670 sc 4gb is awesome.

I own 2 670ftw 2g cards and they run flawless.  I haven't even upgraded the bios because i don't have any problems with the card.  Great card for the money!

Gonna try that. Cause I am having some stuttering issues. Thanks!

I have two 670 FTW+ 4Gb. The cards are beasts! Plus they both came with the current bios update. I got one from EVGA (go evga bux) and one from Newegg. They arrived on the same day and both have been solid since. Granted this was just over a week ago.

But my temps low low and framerates are through the roof. Avg in 75-80 in bf3 on Ultra with FXAA injector. And they absolutely lay waste to Borderlands 2. Metro 2033 is only thing that brings them below 60 fps at my max resolution.

The 670 FTW is one of the, if not the most popular card in the EVGA 600 series lineup, you should be fine.

Zero problems with my two... don't rely so much on newegg reviews.

XrayMan If a card had that much failure rate, then I doubt they would continue to sell them. Online you will see more complaints than cheers for products. When a person is having trouble with a card they will ask for help. If their card works great, then there's no real need to go online. Unless they just want to say thanks that their card works great or something. You see my logic on why your seeing more complaints?

The problem is, that logic is flawed when you see FAR more complaints of this type regarding ref cooled EVGA 600 cards than you do non reference cards from ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, etc.

Even when you compare lower clocked non ref or ref cooled cards of other brands, there still seem to be the most complaints with ref cooled EVGAs. It's one of the reasons I myself held off on some deals I saw on base model, ref cooled EVGAs. I could have had a 670 for $360, but the bad reviews made me hesitant.

So yeah, everyone has a certain number of bad units, but it's not hard to tell how certain brands and models compare as far as HOW many there are when one is flooded with more complaints than another. It also doesn't help when a customer calls EVGA and is told by phone staff they've never heard of such problems.

That said, when I saw EVGA offering non reference air coolers on some new models, I was willing to wait and see how they stack up against the better non ref air cooled cards from MSI, ASUS, GIga, etc. I gotta say though, this talk of driver and heat issues on ref EVGAs recently is still leaving a bad taste in my mouth. If EVGA would just acknowledge it rather than making up excuses or acting oblivious, I probably wouldn't be concerned.

The only thing I don't get with the non ref air cooled models they're offering is they don't have ANY for the 670 line, and it seems to be one of the most popular if not THE most popular cards purchased from EVGA.

    Hey Inqontrol-
I've had 2 Egva 670GTX FTW's since late July and have had zero issues with them. They are amazing cards!!! My first card oc'ed to 1325mhz while benching without a glitch and +600 to memory which brought it to 3700mhz. The second I bought 2 weeks later in August and it too was perfect!! Although my second 670 FTW only made it to 1275mhz before it started artifacting during 3Dmark11. My current benchmarks eat up stock 680GTX sli benchmarks. I'll drop you some review benchmark links hopefully they will help you make your decision-

Notice the 670 FTW beating up the  Gainward 680GTX as well as the 7970 3gb:)
