hallo,
I have a for sale thread going on,but if its takes to longe to sel it all, i think of putting the cpu's in a dedicatet folding machines.
but now the qwestions is.
Can i use skulstation or do i neet to use skulstation2 as my folding account ?
I ask this becose i fold some years ago whit the user name of skulstation
What can i expect from the cpu's if they fold 24/7 ?
the cpu's ar 2x e5504 (4x 2000Mhz), 2x e5606 (4x 2133Mhz) and 1x e5506 (4x 2133Mhz).
on hwbot i have a thread whit 2x5148 (2x 2333Mhz) and 2x e5330 (4x 2667Mhz).
and i have a system " not fore sale " whit 2x qx9775 cpu's (4x 3200Mhz)

You can put whatever folding name you want into the profile page and it will sync-up. Well, when evga isn't having there servers bug out. As far as those cpu's go I wouldn't really expect to much. For comparisons sake, my x5650 hex core overclocked to 4ghz barley gets 25k ppd by itself while my single gtx 980 can easly pull 275k ppd.

So it whil be a bether investment in singel socket bords and multi midrange gpu's than in dual socket bords whit multi lowbudget gpu's

That's a considerable amount of hardware!

Hate to say it but the days of dual-socket folding are almost past. BigAdv ends Jan 1st. At this point the best folding performance is from GPUs anyway. A stock 4770K can do 15K PPD, more if it's on a dedicated unused system running 8-threads. A Titan Black will do 230K PPD, 970/980 cards even more. Even a 750 Ti can do 50-100PPD depending on project type.

Yea if you want the best bang for your buck your best bet is a cheap single socket board with 3+ pci express slots and just stack in some gpu's. Even if you were going into 2/4p folding, Bidadv is ending this year. You would also need a minimum of 16 physical cores on one board at a good clock or you won't make the deadlines anyway for bigadv.
