i just bought a EVGA 08G-P4-5173-KR GeForce GTX 1070 8GB SC Black Edition
is this affected ? or just ftw models? i bought it on october 25
i should ask for my thermal mod? and how longer Warranty this video card has?

    I believe it is any 10 series cards with the ACX 3.0 coolers on them. You should visually inspect the card to see of any gaps are present between the cooler and vram. You can see warranty details under "my products" section

    i has thermal pads but idk if really need the mod, bec this video makes me think that
     


    how ever my friend has same video card and he say it have thermal pads too, but there is missed one small pad compared to founders edition

    video card works perfectly recently updated bios gpu temp is max 51, i dont have any problem with it but im worry about this do i really need the pads?

    FE cards were not affected. The pads on the ACX 3.0 coolers were there, just not making contact with the vram chips. The vrm chips never had pads at all so I would check to see. yours may have come with the pads already installed

    so thermal pads doesnt contact correctly only with the blackplate versions or  with acx sc version too? i should ask for my pads then?
