I'm converting all my dvd's into digital, what is a good program to manage all my movie files and will allow me to search and play them.
Some sort of video file manager that has a nice interface.

I currently use Kodi (previsiously named XBMC), but I've also used Plex.
Either will suit your needs, but I prefer Kodi as it is open source and highly customizable.

I've been using Plex Media Server along with Plex Home theater on my PC along with Rasplex on a Rasberry Pi to the TV in the living room.
Here's a nice article on how to set something like this up http://www.pcper.com/revi...mate-Plex-Media-Server

Id definitely agree with Plex. I have a media server set up with low power settings (actual draw is only 26w at idle and 42w when im streaming) and all I have it set to do is use Plex. Plex can also be used in conjunction with DLNA media players.
