I have a 980ti classified that has about 70 days left to use in the step up program, is there a list of 1080 gpu to choose from, could I step up to a 1080 classified or a hydro copper or hybrid or is the FE type gpu the only one to step up to?

    Its been my experience that there is no guarantee that they will be on the list. It may just be the base model

    I was able to find  a super clock on the list for a day. I look everyday. I called EVGA sales because I was thinking about waiting for a FTW or classified and he said that he has never seen a FTW or classified on the list. I think I just got lucky. I have seen the standard 1080 ACX listed for a while. Rep said it depends on stock at the moment. Just to be clear I am in que and have not received it yet.

    At this time there is no plans to add the 1080 Classified or a Hydro Copper or Hybrid to the Step-Up list. We do not expect to get enough of these cards to meet the demands of Step-Up. Putting these cards on the list could make the wait to receive the Step-Up stretch to several months.

    Even though I only did my step-up process about 2 - 3 weeks ago at this point it already feels like its going to be several months lol . Considering that you would have to wait in line (You cant even see how far you are in the queue anymore I guess compared to the last gens step-ups) , pay for your difference, ship the item out, and then wait to the new gpu to be shipped out.

    thank you for that info i am runing 980ti classy in sli, my first time using sli and it has been great so far, my only concern is my power bill ( i have not received my first one yet since using sli)i game at least 5hrs a day every day so that was the only reason i had to check about the step up options and it seems to me ( i could be wrong) that the cards i could step up to would only be a sideways upgrade
