Finally got my 980 ti hydro copper in, slapped on some liquid ultra (after protecting the surface mount caps with liquid tape), installed afterburner (but didn't touch a thing), and ran the heaven bench. I looked in the top right corner and what do I see?

1531 mhz core and 33 c ... In fact, score was 1524, 300 points higher than my 7970 crossfire score...

72.1% asic (I still think this is a misleading number)

Is this normal? Or do I possibly have "that card"?

Double-check the clock readings in Afterburner. The clock readings in Valley/Heaven can be wildly inaccurate sometimes.

I don't see how it's a bad thing? The card boosts based on diffrient factors and does this automatically. In fact, I think all EVGA cards do. It's basically the factory overclock to give you better out of the box performance.

Feel free to raise the boost speed using Precision X or MSI Afterburner. You can either choose to remove the factory overclock, or maybe you want to try for a bigger overclock? You could also just leave it be if you wanted, but you got a copper so surely you plan to overclock.

EDIT: Ah, you can still try to overclock it. Maybe heavens mark is telling you something.

Heaven and valley both do that.  Mine shows like 1690 Mhz or something in both heaven and valley.  Afterburner will give you the real clock speeds, or gpuz or hw64 or some program like that.

They're not always in inaccurate, but it's always better to check GPUz or PCX.
