I have a evga Classified SR-2 motherboard in my computer.
Q : "Can i replace the old motherboard with the X99 board?"

    No.  The 2011 and the 2011-3 CPUs are not interchangable.  You will need to replace your CPU with a new  2011-3 CPU such as a 5960K, 5930K or a 5920K for it to work in a X99 motherboard.

    SR-2 is 1366. But the same rule applies.

    You will also need all new RAM as well, not just motherboard and cpu. Looking at anywhere from approximately $700 (cheapest components available) to $2000+ being spent total.

    If it still works grab 2x X5660 on eBay. kana maru did a great piece on these cpus.  i'm assuming this is a work station not a pure gaming platform. what cpus do you have in there now. i would check your benchmarks against the 5960x http://www.overclock.net/...side-longest-post-ever
