Watercooling project complete! My 920 will resume muon1 until the primegrid challenge. I think I can see #25 on the horizon! I will continue to intermittently crunch since my main rig will not be participating in Folding M@dness.

RHMash and any idea about the account key for attaching leiden classical to hpcs? I looked all over and can't find anything about it.... Did you ever find it? It's on the "my account" page. Oops, never mind, I was thinking of the Correlizer project pages.

Based on my limited observation from both of these projects, POEM releases work sporadically while Lattice only does so rarely. However, in the case of The Lattice Project, I just left its client to accept work continuously and today, my rig managed to snap up ~20 work units.

So, I guess this is the opportune time to do it and for your information, some of the WUs that my rig had crunched took up to ~5hrs.

Is it correct to say that we could maximize our plundering by attacking those projects which our team currently has low SCORE, i.e.: Muon1?

duboisi Is it correct to say that we could maximize our plundering by attacking those projects which our team currently has low SCORE, i.e.: Muon1? In theory yes, but Moun1 specifically has a very unusual distribution of team scores and so it will take MUCH more effort to pull our placing up there as opposed to many of the other projects.

I have my servers setup now for WCG, SIMAP, Comology@Home and ABC@Home. Hope this helps. Just wondering about Moun1, if I set 4 of my servers to run that project, would it help our team?

It would definitely help, but you might have to do some experimentation to figure out how best to run it on a multi-threaded machine. It does not use BOINC; it has its own client that you configure manually, and it's hard to figure out how much progress it has made over time, so it's hard to optimize it. Oh, and the client is Windows only, so you would have to use Wine on a Linux box.

As for muon1, I fired it up, only adding a user.txt file, and it was instantly running on all cores on my 920. It does a decent job of throttling when you are using the CPU for other things but some projects such as collatz gave me a hard time running on the GPU along side muon1 on CPU. In the config file you can specify how many cores to use, priority, and a couple other things. I will stick with it for awhile, running it periodically on my main rig.

Looks like we could use some Prime Sierpinski Problem (PRP) action. I am tied up with the M@dness challenge right now, but I will be doing some PrimeGrid and PSP (PRP) at the start of April.

Right there with you. I will convert at least one system to this (Someone point me to a link explaining how please) and away we go!

http://www.primegrid.com/forum_thread.php?id=4191&nowrap=true#51745 PrimeGrid has a cpu challenge starting April 1.... Hoping the folding contest ends by then.... We had good showings on the last challenges, we can keep up the record with this one.... From what I have seen, these tasks are fairly short compared to the other cpu tasks they run.

And sometime in the near future, correlizer is about to be added to the Vault.... I don't expect it to really set us back much, but I don't exactly expect it to give us a push, either. We're ranked 51 out of about 200 teams....
