Hey I was trying to order the EVGA GTX 680 SCSignature Edition off the EVGA store but it doesn't allow me too, despite changing the shipping address to US, where my cousin lives! He was willing have the cards shipped to Australia but I can seem to do it. Does anyone know how to?? Or we are NOT supposed to buy the cards THIS way?? I have already bought one off pccasegear.com for AUD 739.00!!! And all I want was the second card, which, by now, ought to be OUT OF STOCK!!! [EDIT] No way!! It's still in stock!! Could anybody help me out here!! A distress man's call!!! /[EDIT]

For purchasing direct through EVGA.com you need to be on a US/Canada IP address, otherwise it will IP block you pretty much.
There are ways around this, tunnel/proxies but I'm not sure I can actually go into that on the forums.
Easiest way would be for your cousin to buy the card and you just do a bank transfer to him for the money spent.

The thing is though, that it's not just eVga products that are over-priced here. Log into any etailer based in Australia and you will see that all Graphics cards, most PSU's and motherboards are significantly over-priced compared to USA pricing. Even accounting for "shipping" costs there is no reason other than price-gauging to justify the prices we pay.
If one manufacturer starts offering their products at a competitive rate, and advertises reasonably well, they would
A) make a killing on sales assuming they have a proper inventory
B) gain great exposure in the marketplace
C) force other manufacturers to follow.
Australia isn't the biggest country population wise, and with the distances products need to be sent, we will almost always end up paying more, but 50% more is just beyond the joke.
Glad that Jacob has said that something may be happening in the future. I imagine it will take a while, depending on what supply contracts they have with current importers, getting a direct sales license, and all the other beaureactric hoops they would have to jump through.
However, it is awesome that they have listened and are doing something.

Hey I was just generalising the whole market in Australia not being specific to any one brand.. I am a huge EVGA fan would never crap on their good work. Kudos for them even considering to help us Aussies out, whether its even possible is another matter. The point I was making is our Aussie market sucks and its the consumers who complains, yet still continue to fork out the hefty price tags. I am not pointing any fingers but we not helping ourselves when we continue to let them gauge us. We are simply saying to these etailers, the price you are offering us is good/reasonable and I will pay it. +1 eVGA here too

As a side note, please do not order from our web store and ship to a forwarding company. While I cannot comment on our partners (Newegg, Tiger Direct, etc), we do not ship to forwarding companies.
I am just trying to eliminate issues with canceled orders and issues associated with forwarding companies.

I support this Thread. I must admit I've been asking this for sometime on my own, so I thought.....Not anymore. I would like to add EVGA, if you allow us to purchase direct it means those OZ eTraders need to become more competitive. Granted we pay shipping costs etc and its done in US dollars - no issue here. I just ordered one signature edition gtx 680 via my cousin who lives in Cali, & it costs me only 581, whereas the first one I ordered was from pccasegear.com and it cost me 739!!!! But I guess with this progressing positively I'm gonna order 2 way SLI GTX 780 (maxwell) from www.evga.com.au/store  dieman566

Hi,
Been an EVGA fan for a while but first time posting. I have bought in the past an X58 FTW3 E768-132-GT-KR board, 2x 1792mb GTX275's and 2x GTX 570 SO some other stuff like a USB 3.0 PCI-E Card.
Just bought an GTX 670 4GB for $599 and will be purchasing another soon.
I think it sucks I cannot buy from EVGA direct as I am a supporting customer who has spent at least $3000 on EVGA products. The Australian dollar holds well against the US and I could pick one up much cheaper buying direct even with the shipping fee to AUS.
I feel like I get absolutely nothing for being loyal to EVGA. If you buy online you get freebies and specials but I spend $100 more on the same product and receive squat.

I can't speak for the AU postal service, but as an American, USPS scares me when it comes to shipping expensive equiptment like this.
That being said, customs and duties are usually easier through the postal service.
6 of one, half a dozen of another. Pick your poison. Now if EVGA or a US reseller did the shipping, go FedEx or UPS.

Thx for the input guys!!! I already asked my bro to ship it via USPS!! So total the signature edition card cost me 641, which is little bit over +100 savings. That means I'll have monies to buy new games or whatever I desire!!
